Great Quality. Fast Fix for a Subaru EJ205
Bought this as a replacement on my kid's 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX air conditioning belt tensioner as the old one was making a whine loud enough to be heard from 2 blocks away. Installation took about 15 minutes. Tools required are a 10mm socket to remove the plastic cover over the belts and a 12 mm socket for everything else. An extension will speed things up. The old Subaru OEM idler is a cheaper plastic piece. This replacement appears to be much higher quality than Subaru OEM. Of course, since the Subaru one lasted 14 years and 125,000 miles...I guess it was good enough. After installation, the car is quieter than it's been since we purchased it...so I guess the idler was going out for a while. Couldn't be more pleased with this pulley.

Great idler
I have used several of these on various cars and trucks and have had no issues at all. A good quality idler at a reasonable price.

For a 2006 Subaru forester X
So I had a squeaky belt or pulley. I did some research and found out this was the most likely culprit. I ordered this and was delivered pretty quick. So the whole process of me taking the old pulley off and putting the new pulley on took 20 minutes. And I’m glad I did buy this, the old parts had some cracked plastic. After installing this part the squeaking went away. So I knew that this was the squeaking noise. The fit was very good, just like the original. The pulley is smooth as silk, the engine now runs very well without the noise so I’m really happy.

Quality Tensioner Pulley for 2007 Subaru Outback
The pulley seems to be of good quality-it is made of metal like the original in my 2007 Subaru Outback, and the bearing action is nice and smooth. The original, after more than 200,000 miles, would squeal a bit when starting the car on cold winter mornings, so I replaced it a few weeks ago when I replaced head gaskets and timing belt. The trick to taking the old one apart is to remove the nut and tap the stud out wit a hammer and punch, being careful to avoid damaging the threads. You can also replace the tensioner assembly with Dorman part 917-124 or OEM parts from the Subaru dealer if you want to get a new stud and nut. I've had this on on for several hundred miles, so far so good. After a few months and several thousand miles in service, including some cold winter days, I am pleased to report that this pulley continues to spin away happily without any squealing.

Better than OEM
Bought this for a built STi (kid's car) as the dealer was out of stock. Dealer found the part so I have both. The bearing on the DriveAlign is clearly a superior part/fitment to the Subaru part number. Not much else to say but overall quality is better.

Quality Part, Nearly perfect
The bearing is quality and seems to be the same as original manufacturer on my 2001 CR-V. There are parts to swap over from the original so make sure to set them side by side and transfer parts and this the reason for 4 stars. I installed it and seems to work fine but is slightly different from the original and may confuse your typical DIYer.

Perfect fit on 2004 Subaru Forester 2.5 non-turbo
I was tempted to get the cheaper plastic tensioner replacement I see on Amazon but wanted the metal one. I'm GLAD I did, because I discovered bad pulley on the car was actually one of the plastic aftermarket type replaced at some point in the past. This was a perfect fit, feels very solid, and absolutely worth a few extra bucks for the quality.

Installed on my 07 wrx when this pulley arrived. Much higher quality than factory piece. Actually feels a little beefier than continental units as well. Install was super easy.
