It’s a fun game. The pictures are cute, and I’ve already played it quite a few times. The container was a bit damaged, but the cards themselves were fine.

This game is fun and you can play it as a couple or with a group of friends. It's a quick game and the cards have cute illustrations. I think it's a great present for friends who like card games.

This is a great family friendly game that everyone usually enjoys. It's a pass-and-go drafting style card game that is easy for new gamers to pick up. It's equally fun for experienced gamers as it is new ones. I've played this game with all ages of people from 10 years olds to 70, and they all love it. Game play also doesn't rely too heavily on one language ability so it's great for groups from all different backgrounds.

Sushi go is a simple and intuitive game that is fun and encourages your child to think strategically. On the box the game suggests it is suitable for 8 years +, although my 5 year old daughter has no problem at all thrashing both my wife and I. Its not just fun for kids though - this is also a great simple party game that gets incredibly competitive! The game is really simple - you each get dealt a hand of cards, and each turn you must pick one that you place in front of you, and then pass your hand to the next player until all the cards are gone. At the end, you count up the points. This is done for 3 rounds in total, and the winner is the person with the most points at the end. You score points depending on the cards you put down in front of you. Some give you 1, 2 or 3 points, others give you points for collecting sets, and others give you points at the end of the game. Its incredibly rewarding to see your child debating with themselves about which cards to play - do I get the 2 points now, or risk it and try and get the 6 points later? Fun and educational (even if they don't know it). The game is sweet as it deviates from the typical fantasy type theme of knights, dragons and wizards (favoured by boys), and instead has nice pictures of various sushi dishes! all of which are beautifully illustrated and easily recognisable after a few games (important for those not familiar with Sush!). A wonderful result of this game is my five year old is now incredibly keen to try various sushi dishes. Cannot recommend enough - 5/5!

Sushi Go! is a simple family card game that follows many of the same drafting mechanics popular in 7 Wonders and Among the Stars. Players start with a hand of cards and choose a card. All players reveal their chosen cards simultaneously. Some cards are instant point cards like nigiri cards. Other cards are worth more as you gain more of the same card like dumplings. Yet others need a specific number of cards of one type to get any points like tempura where every two score points. And some are worth more depending who has the most of them at the end of the game. There are also wasabi that multiply other cards, and the chopsticks card. If players have a chopstick card, they can shout "Sushi Go!" and take a second card from the same hand of cards. After selecting your card for the round, you pass the cards to the left. When you only have two cards, you choose one card, and then throw the other into the center. After three total hands like this, players determine who has the most points and is the winner. Mechanics- I like a good drafting game. This one plays quick and teaches even quicker. My sister who can't read scored as many points as I did while my mom scored the least points. It's a blast to play and won't require encyclopedic knowledge of some obscure rules. 5/5 Theme- Here is where the game suffers. I don't get the feeling I get from Wasabi of being a chef. This game has cute sushi, but beyond the box and the art, there isn't really a story here. If story doesn't matter to you, then this game is great. 3/5 Instructions- The instructions are a single booklet that's less than ten pages. It doesn't take much to learn and play this game. 5/5 Execution- The cards are decent quality and the whole game comes is a metal tin. The art is great and all cutesy. And for less than 15 bucks? Well worth the price of admission. 5/5 Summary- This game has the family board game awards all wrapped up, and I can see why. It's cheap, easy to play, and doesn't require a ton of priming to get into. It's a great intro board game that doesn't break the bank and travels well too. 90%

Sushi Go at first sight may appear like a very complicated game to play. There are many card types that work completely different from each other, but on playing it just once you already fully understand the whole game. Another pro is that the game is very flexible, you can play it with 2 to 5 people, but because the rules are so simple, it's easy to adapt it to your needs. The metal case is charming and good quality so it is easy to take with you everywhere, perfect for parties. The one thing though, although the cards have a very nice texture that is good to grip, it is very easy to leave scratches, even by just shuffling them. Not to mention, if you bring to a party, make sure everyone has their hands clean. Card sleeves are recommended, but because the cards are small, it may not be easy to find. However, the game is so cheap and so high quality, that even in the worse situation that gets so dirty to be unusable, you can just buy another one. I believe if you play it so much to that point, your money spent will have been more than worth it.
