ALTRA Men's Escalante Racer 2 Road Running Shoe

I love this shoe. Super light, very breathable, nice and wide in the toe box, comfortable and easy. I do not wear it for running, however, just walking/daily wear. The overall construction is a little too loose for me for running, and the cushion/energy return is lower than I prefer for running. But daily wear, perfect.

I have 4 pairs of this shoe. I buy one pair every summer. I hope they never stop making them. Super comfortable and breathable.

Shoes are light and comfortable. However, the picture of this shoe is mostly blue with a gray sole (listing is gray/blue, so I'm not complaining too much). The top is all netted, vs the listed picture not being full net. Overall nice, but it looks like the listed the wrong picture for this color shoe.

Great show so far. They don't have all the foam which I like. I like to walk around bare foot these have done well. They have helped my feet a lot. I don't care for 2 inches of foam under my foot. Wide toe box and breathable. I wouldn't wear them when it rains.

I like the feel of these shoes. They're light weight, room for my toes, and don't try to "correct" my gait. I want to let my feet and legs work as they are supposed to work without interference from my shoes.

Love the wide toe box and the heel-to drop. I live in a very hot climate and you can't get more breathable than these unless you're barefoot or wearing sandals. I don't run, but I walk a lot and these make it so much easier. Not a fan of the color, but that's less important than their function.

The Escalante Racer are great option not only for running, the are better for long walks.They delivery of the shoes was on time, too.

Great for running, not for court shoes. I'm trying to use these for pickleball. So far both pairs have torn at the outside where the mesh meets the sole.
