Frienda Black 360 Degree Adjustable Wall Mount Bracket and Silicone Protective Skin for Blink Xt Indoor Outdoor Security Camera(3,Black)

I have the original Blink cameras, all enclosed in two-piece plastic enclosures held together with small screws. Over time the screws have rusted and become difficult to remove. Last week I needed to replace the batteries in one of the cameras and could not get the screws out. Ended up breaking the enclosure apart to get the camera out. These silicone enclosures are an excellent replacement. All you have to do is push the camera into the enclosure - no screws to deal with. Also, the threads on the back of the enclosure fit the wall brackets for the old enclosure. Very easy replacement at a reasonable cost.

The fit perfectly onto my blink cameras...no more messing with the tiny rusted screws in the back! waterproof!

I bought and try and compared the two most popular kits with mount brackets and housing offered for Blink X2 Cameras: the Blink XT2 Mount Kit https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S917J5C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and the Frienda Kit, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FDBRSCP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1.They are similar products, but each with different highs and lows. I liked the Blink XT2 the best. The Frienda kit has better camera housing but the XT2 camera mount has a better mount bracket and a better overall appearance and finish . This are the details.XT2 camera mountHousing is and most of the bracket is mostly made of plastic. Design is good.Pros. Easy installation, mount bracket can be easily adjusted once installed. It includes an opening at the bottom so the sound of the speaker can be heard. It includes a very convenient mount for the sync module for the cameras, which otherwise you have to buy separately.Cons. The top elements protection of the housing is shorter than the Frienda kit, which is not ideal if you are mounting the cameras exposed to the elements. The base of the mount is plastic and it may break if not treated with care.Frienda Kit.Pros. Silicone housing has a longer top protection, which is good to protect against sun and rain. It includes a back opening to easily connect a usb power cable for those installing an external power source for the camera. The base of the mount is made of metal, so it could be stronger.Cons. The screw to secure the moving part of the mount bracket is very difficult to screw into place. if you can succeed in screwing it, it is near to impossible to move and adjust the camera to adjust direction. If you are not extremely careful at the time of inserting the screw into the ridiculously small space available, you could easily strip the soft metal of the bracket. If you want to hear the speaker of the Blink X2 camera, you have to cut an opening at the botom of the camera (it appears that this bracket was originally made for a previous Blink camera without speaker).Both products work. If the larger top protection is important for you, you may consider the Frienda, despite the less than ideal features. Otherwise the XT2 Camera mount would be better overall.

Purchased these as a recommendation from a YouTube "How To With Doc". I like the metal construction and flexible adjustments of the mount. I did encounter one minor issue with the threading of one adjustment screw and housing, but this may have been my fault during installation. I did purchase 12 in total.

These covers seemed like they would have worked very well to keep the camera safe from the elements, but the mounts were a huge PITA to work with IMHO. The securing thumb screw only allows for about 3 turns untill it falls apart in your hands, usually falling to the ground sincere your more then likely on a ladder. Turning the screw so that it doesn't talk apart means adjusting the camera to the angle you like will be more difficult. It's 360 capability means having to rotate the wall end because the camera ended only moves to one side. It's possible, but when on a ladder, is very difficult. I found a better mount and used those instead of these. These mounts were thrown away.

Blink Four came in a box with no attachment on the camera. Had to buy wall mounts that hold the camera.

OK, I bought these to replace the other brand made out of plastic because these allow for the IR lights to work where the others incased too much of the front and would only show a white blur instead of the covered area in the black and white... these fixed them all

These are great little security cameras, easy to install and connect to wifi, never drop out, only criticism is the camera clip to the bracket could be made stronger, don’t know what it will be like in a few years time once the sun rays have affected the plastic
