Very effective ceiling sunshade.
This Tesla roof shade appears well constructed. The material that faces up has some reflective qualities which, I hope, reflects at least some of the sun’s rays while the inside material blends in well with the Tesla headliner. The spring mechanism that holds the shade in place is very stiff, much thicker and stronger than the average windshield sunshade. Although it took some time to install the sunshade correctly, due to the stiffness of the spring, once in place it does not budge. It makes no noise (no rattling or squeaking of any kind). I must note that I could not easily insert the clip that goes above the driver’s seat between the glass roof and the headliner, and I didn’t want to apply too much force for fear of tearing the headliner. So only one clip is holding up the sunshade along the front but it doesn’t seem to make any noticeable difference. The sunshade is still able to stay in place. As for its effectiveness in reducing the heat in the cabin I believe it does make a noticeable difference in the temperature. I live in south Florida and the sun is very intense, especially during the summer, which is the reason why I purchased this ceiling sunshade. Even though the glass roof is factory tinted it gets extremely hot to the touch, which of course, radiates into the car. When I touch the sunshade, it doesn’t feel hot at all! That alone tells me the shade is doing its job of reducing the amount of heat in the car. I’m very pleased with the construction and performance of this sunshade and highly recommend it!

Keeps My Model Y Cool & Stylish – Must-Have Sunshade!
I recently installed the Wigoo 2025 Upgrade Tesla Model Y Sunshade in my 2023 Model Y, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From the moment I opened the box, I could tell this wasn’t just another generic accessory — the build quality, fit, and thoughtful design really stand out.Installation was a breeze. With the included video guide and labeled clips, I had both the front and rear sunshades installed in under two minutes. The new 2025 memory steel rim design makes unfolding and folding super fast, and it all packs down neatly into the included storage bag — great for when I don’t need it during cooler months. In terms of performance, it dramatically reduces cabin heat, even under direct sunlight. The dual-layer nano-crystal coated fabric with silver reflective backing really works — I noticed a significant difference immediately. Plus, it provides added privacy without compromising visibility or the clean, modern interior vibe of the Model Y.What I especially love is the tailored fit. It hugs the roof perfectly with zero sag, unlike some cheaper shades I’ve tried before. You can tell this was made specifically for the Model Y, and it blends in so well you almost forget it’s there.Overall, this is a premium product that lives up to its claims. If you want to protect your Tesla’s interior, beat the summer heat, and add a touch of luxury to your ride, the Wigoo sunshade is worth every penny.

Fits 2022 Tesla Model Y Great!
Just purchased a 2022 Tesla Model Y White on White and this Grey Colored Sun shield fits perfectly and look nice, matches the color fabric of the interior roof.Tip: place the small clips on sunshield where shown on the back page of the instruction booklet. You first place the clip on the edge of the sun shield the flip it straight so it clicks onto it.Make sure the clip flat longer side is flush with the part of the sun shield that will be touching the sunroof (the shiny side that has little holes in the fabric/ the side that faces up). I initially had the clips the other way and couldn't get them to slide into the gap between the glass sunshield and fabric of the car.Put the front Sun shield on first from the backseat to have leverage to guide it in then do it on the back side. Then I kind of pushed them into place on both ends so that way in the middle they would fit together. I had to kind of adjust the middle parts together until it fit with no overlap.Did it by myself (female, 45) in about 15 mins could have been much quicker if I had the clips on the right way the first time around! Hopefully this helps someone else!

A good choice
The Tesla Model Y sunshade for the roof is such a game-changer! Installing it was super easy—took me about 10 minutes tops, and I didn’t even need tools. The clips are sturdy and hold everything perfectly in place. The best part? It makes a huge difference on hot, sunny days. You can instantly feel the cabin cool down, and no more glaring sun right on your head. It still lets in some light, so the car doesn’t feel dark or closed off, but it keeps things way more comfortable. The quality is great, too. The material feels strong but lightweight, and it looks like it’s built to last. Plus, if you want to take it off to enjoy the full glass roof, it’s super easy to remove and fold up for storage.Honestly, it’s a little pricier than some other options, but the fit and finish are worth it. If you have a Tesla Model Y and you live somewhere sunny, this is one accessory you’ll be glad you got

Good shade for a good price
I expected the material to be thicker, but it’s actually quite thin—this has its pros and cons. On the plus side, it’s lightweight, and the structural frame feels solid and well-built. I’m not worried about overall durability, though I do wonder if something small could potentially puncture the shade itself. That said, I’m overall very pleased. It fits nearly gap-free with minimal sag, which is about as good as you can hope for.Installation was surprisingly quick—each section took me about 90 seconds, much faster than my experience with previous Model Y shades. The clips are discreet and the color match is excellent; to an untrained eye, it could easily pass as factory. While it doesn’t fully block out sunlight, it offers a semi-opaque finish that diffuses light nicely. You still get cabin brightness without sacrificing too much cooling. Unlike my last shade that created complete darkness, this one lets in enough light to see inside easily—even under the seats—which is a feature I actually appreciate. I haven’t tested it in 100+ degree heat yet, but so far, it’s performing well.
