I have purchased this item TWICE over the years. Each time, the plate protector was eventually broken by an automated car wash brush. So...not sure just how "unbreakable" it really is....

I added cover frame and it fit perfect with tint cover very nice ..

A bit too small and not a perfect fit for Washington state license plates . . . but it'll do. I placed my chrome license plate frame over the clear, plastic shield, followed by my license plate, and attached everything to my vehicle's mounting plate -- as depicted in the visual instructions. I'll have to see if water settles in between my license plate and the clear, plastic shield. Fingers crossed this won't happen.

I purchased the same smoked license plate cover last year. It appears that the cover I ordered recently is a different shade of gray. I may have received a defective unit. I now own two different color covers. I definitely should be liable to purchase another to match the most recent. These covers need to be purchased in pairs to get the same color and batch.

The rim of this plate guard is clearly designed to wrap around / protect the edges of a license plate. My Ontario plate is too large to fit inside the rim. It does look like the plate manufacturer left extra material on the edges of the plate but still, the Tuf guard could have been designed with some wiggle room to accommodate predictable manufacturing inconsistencies.It will protect the face of your plate if you hold it on there with screws but the edges may remain exposed unless you modify your plate. I gave it 4 stars because with a little elbow grease I was able to combine this with an Ohuhu silicone plate frame to completely wrap my plates. It was a bit of a pain to stretch the silicone lip over the Tuf Shield but it looks good and I’m reasonably confident that it’ll hold up and protect my plate. We’ll see if it survives the test of time.

As another review mentioned, this plate protector doesnt fit well on Ontario plates. However, I bought a silicone cover which barely just fits over the lip of both the cover and the license plate. It took a bit of work but Managed to do it for both front and back license plates. Hopefully, the silicone cover holds well over Canadian winter because that's the only thing holding the plate and protector together. Not looking forward to replacing my license plate sticker :(

Bought and installed these two plate covers on my car. The Ontario plates are 6 by 12 inches but have a bit of extra edges that does not allow to completely fit into this plastic plate cover. Nevertheless with help of metal scissors it is very easy to remove extra edges and make 2 extra holes for the plate to completely sink into the plasmic plate. Once installed the plate looks great. If you just want to install as is, it also works but there will be a small gap at the bottom. Thus, buy this project with confidence but make sure you have a drill and metal scissors.

Is a bit too small to fit Ontario plates (2022). The cardboard insert that comes with the cover is the size of plate that will fit. I show it on the back of the plate. The silver area would have to be trimmed off ie about 2 mm all the way around 3 sides in order for it to fit as intended. I purchased the black powder coated aluminum 2 hole licence plate frames (2 pack) from Amazon and used that over the plastic cover sort of like a sandwich and lived with the imperfect fit. I was not willing to trim brand new plates.

I have bought this exact product 4 years ago. There is no fade on the plastic. It fits over my Ontario plates perfectly.The value is better than buying something similar at the big box store.It gives a cleaner look to the vehicle as well.
