Check out the return policy before you buy this book if you don't buy it from Amazon. My guess is that you will end of wanting to return it.Studying for CPIM exam is a comprehensive challenge and will take about a year for most people to be prepared without cramming. Introduction to Materials Management is probably a good book to start if you are a novice. While not perfect, Manufacturing Planning and Control for Supply Chain Management is a good book, in terms of more relevant problems/exercises. Of course, the APICS Study guides are excellent as well. Most importantly, review the APICS CPIM Exam Content Manual to take inventory of your knowledge and skills and attack your weak areas.As a qualifier, It took nine months for me to be certified as a CPIM by APICS. I took four classes (ECP, SMR, DSP & MPR) and passed all five exams at my first try using the guideline I noted. My approach was not to just pass the exam, but to gain knowledge which will enable me to pass the exam.Time is precious. You don’t want to waste it reading Mometrix books for their nonsense ‘secrets.’ If you do, you ought to be able to return it for full refund, at the least.

What I like most about this product is after the quiz, every answer is provided with an in depth explanation. Other quizzes that I reviewed just gave the correct answer. The answers in this book are study guides as well, and I really appreciate how they helped make the answer "make sense."
