This does exactly as it says on the cover!I teach a class of quite able special needs children between years 8 and 11 and these activities are aimed perfectly and have really been quite effective.A must have if your students are quite bright and aware of their difficulties particularly aspergers, autism, speech and language and obviously social difficulties.Excellent value for money, I just wish they did them for every subject!

Great for teachers, loads of resources

Well designed book, great variety of activities and easy to use in classroom, students aged 16-18 years.Well suited for quite functional, able students who need social skills practice.

The lessons in this book are not thorough enough. You could use them as a very quick starter activity but they would only last about 5 mins. They also seem very "Americanized" and not so suitable for the English classroom.

This book is amazing. It was just what I needed to help with the development of a life skills program for Special Needs high school students. The worksheets can be easily adjusted for all students.

This is my first time working with high functioning Adults with Special Needs. This workbook works really well in my setting. The instructions are clear and purposeful. The workbook covers skills regarding; Basic Social Skills, Skills for self improvement, Skills for being around other, Using social skills at home, school, work, peers, and in the community. I work with about 25 adults. I'm 2 months into using this workbook and everything is going well. As a matter of fact I'm finding the skills very useful in assisting me teach my 14 & 11 year old daughters some basic life skills. There's 195 worksheets. This book gets my highest recommendation.

The teacher next door lent me her copy of this and it had lots of great worksheets and activities to use with my students ages 14-22 SDC. I decided I’d buy my own so I could keep it forever.

This was purchased along with the Life Skills Activities book. This was recommended by someone in the field of Special Education. It has become an invaluable resource which is used on a daily basis! Thank You Darlene Mannix

I love this book much better than the SkillStreaming program. I just wish there was a higher edition for students that can read and less cartoons.
