I'm a fan
So I only took like 5 shots, first at 20 yards and then at 30 yards. I did not notice anything crazy as far as variance to a field point goes. There might have been more instability in my overall approach because I am shooting something that costs $15 vs 50 cents but other than that, I think I have a bird killer on my hands. Here is how to make a DIY broad head target: grab that large Amazon box sitting in your garage. then throw in some spare crumbled up newspaper, loose cardboard pieces, and that old comforter you are saving that you will never use. Finally draw your most hated thing with a sharpie on the box. Since I only have a field point block target, I made my own broad head target and just used the block as a backup. The comforter works like a charm. It caught this mechanical broad head without damaging or really dulling the blades. Another tip, you could reuse the red collar as long as it isn't completely snapped. Just rotate it so the unused part restricts the opening of the blades. At least for practice I think you could get away with this. For hunting, I might just use a new collar each time so I don't miss a good opportunity.

Devastating
I harvested a gobbler with these broad heads. They work well, they did not completely pass through the animal, leading to a quick and easy track.

Great turkey broadheads
First time using these. Took my 8 year old daughter out for her first turkey hunt. Decided to use a crossbow as her .410 makes her a bit nervous still. Using a Ravin R26. They seem to fly like field points out of my crossbow. Daughter shot a big gobbler at 12 yards broadside. Bolt completely passed through but kind of just plopped out the other side. Impact knocked the turkey over and it then did a death tumble for about 5 yards and was done. I’ve seen turkeys flop longer after being hit with a 12 gauge. Broad head completely broke/severed the wing bone and created two massive holes. Anyone who claims their turkey ran off after being hit by one of these probably had poor shot placement. Vitals are quite small epically in a strutting gobbler. Hit them right and they won’t go far with these.

Effective
Harvested a turkey this yr with the rage. 30 yd shot from a 65# Mathews, bird went about 20 yds & expired in the field. Arrow was still in the tom when I retrieved him, meat hooks did their job. Rage was in great shape, cleaned it & used it again the next day at another tom. Missed & hit a strand of barbwire fence, the only thing damaged was a bent meat hook. Pricey but effective.

I’m a believer!!
Thought I’d give these a try after shooting fixed blades for turkeys for ever. Really was intrigued by the forward blades that are to prevent pass through shoots. My order came just before turkey season so I couldn’t wait to give them a try. I was nervous about their flight patterns having not shoot mechanicals before but boy was I surprised! Not only do they fly like a field point, but I think they fly better than my fixed blades. AND talk about knock down; hit the first bird and it went straight up and straight down with no pass through as advertised. Really like these!!! No more fixed blades for me.PS: you’ll also want to get an extra pack of shock rings because the original package only comes with 4.

Do Not Purchase, they will not open.
Well; all i have to say is you are WARNED. i’m a life long archery hunter and turkey nut.. shot my first osceola with this broad head and it do not open. poor bird got a knock down but i had to use another arrow with a schwacker hybrid. the hybrid as usual, did the job. these Rage turkey heads are horrible. i will never ever buy again. . this is he only time Ive had this happen … fair warning… these are horrible and should be discontinued. no wonder you can’t find these heads anywhere but here. they are junk.
