This is the ONLY deodorant that works for me with reliability. It has a mild fragrance that isn't noticeable once I've applied it. It goes on smoothly and causes no skin irritation. There have been no stains in my clothing which is wonderful. It's invaluable to have the confidence it gives me knowing I will be free from underarm odor all day, every day.

Great alternative deoderant. Have used this brand for 10 years. Doesnt keep you from sweating but kills the stink. Recommend detoxifying your arm pits begore using.

Not a very interesting title, but it's hard to get excited about deodorant. For those who are concerned about the safety and 'goodness' of standard deodorants and antiperspirants, this may very well be the best alternative option. Pomegranate is kind of at the 'top of the food chain' for natural odor inhibitors, and this contains real pomegranate. Too many products listed under 'pomegranate' are only 'fragrance' if you can get to their 'fine print'. It has the usual drawback of a roll-on...goes on easily, but you have to let it dry...although if you don't have that kind of life and time, it is not nearly as 'sticky' as other roll-ons, and I've not had any problem with it staining anything. Please note that I do not, however, wear white because I tend to be absent-minded and dribble coffee on myself when I'm concentrating on my computer screen so I can't comment on the Crystal Essence Roll-on effect on white stuff. Do note that for this to be effective odor-wise, you need to apply it on clean skin before 'germs, microbes, and any other no-see-ums' have had a chance to reassert their dominance. I tried CE's spray, like it, dries much faster, but one wonders from one day to the next if "today will be the day it clogs up and won't spray"...too iffy, so I went back to the roll-on. I prefer buying it in the 12-pack because I truly hate to run out. It's rather okay, incidentally, for light sweat, but not so effective if you are running a marathon or carrying a large water buffalo over your shoulder for any distance. But, you can carry the smallish bottle with you and re-apply it when you've gotten your buffalo to your destination...would wipe off with a paper towel first so it can be applied to a Blank Canvas, though.

I have used Crystal deodorants for over six years. It is the only brand I will ever use. I have used the actual crystal one the most and have found the easiest way to use it is by applying it directly after taking a shower. I don't dry off I just apply it by counting 20 strokes. I shower at night and the deodorant will last for like 36 hours doing it this way. I don't recommend keeping it in the shower though. With the summer months I am shaving my armpits more frequently and applying the crystal right after that can make my armpits sting and creates bumps so I started using a little bit of coconut oil right on my armpits just after drying them off. Then after fully getting dressed and ready for the day or bed, I apply the roll on Crystal deodorant. My armpits don't sting and I don't get any bumps plus the coconut oil helps the deodorant last longer. I do about 5-7 swipes of the roll on and I am good to go for pretty much 48 hours. The coconut oil does not stain and has antibacterial properties. These deodorants are meant to be used liberally so cake it on. It does not stain and your clothes don't get the yellow sweat stain like with antiperspirants. Plus even when you do start sweating it doesn't look like it in the arm pit area. These deodorants work for smelly feet too. Also for the people saying the balls don't work, you have shake the product then move the ball with your finger. Unsticks and works very well. I totally recomend this brand of deodorant and hope my advice helps.

For context: my armpits tend to get pretty smelly, and while they're not as bad as when I first started going through puberty (thankfully), I've still heavily relied on "manly" antiperspirants (which also helped with my hyperhidrosis). A handful of years ago I decided to experiment with "good" deodorants for the sake of my yet-unpitstained shirts and my own peace of mind. Over the past few years, I've given nearly a dozen different natural deodorants a fair shake (the detox period when transitioning to natural is no joke), and none of them worked for me. Weeks of sitting in my own smelliness for nothing-- at best, I'd settle into smelling like flowery BO, and at worst, I just wound up smelling like puberty. A year ago, I bought the spray version of this deodorant ("pomegranate" caught my eye), and it's become my favorite natural deodorant. To be absolutely clear, it definitely isn't a cure-all for my pit problems. I've long made my peace with foregoing dry underarms in favor of "clean" ones, and this deodorant is no different in that regard. More seriously, though, is that the smell coverage doesn't last terribly long; I find myself having to reapply 2-3 times throughout the day. That said, it lasts a hell of a lot longer than all the others I've tried, and when the scent's there, it's wonderful: the BO doesn't peek through the way it does with other natural deodorants, and the scent of the product itself is SO lovely and fresh. My shirts are very thankful, as well. For me, the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks. Maybe I'll wind up testing out other deodorants in search of my holy grail, but until then, this one suits me just fine. (P.S.: The size of these makes it super easy to bring one on the go, too!)
