Great little speaker for just about everything
This speaker is awesome. The sound quality is great once I got the EQ down. Having the 7 band EQ is a big bonus over the previous generation. The battery live is super impressive as well. I took this guy on a camping trip right out of the box without charging it and played music for around 5 hours at a decent volume at our campsite and then for about another 6 hours while doing some spring cleaning. It's a perfect size to fit into a backpack or cupholder and the controls are pretty easy to use. My only con is that you can't connect to older JBL speakers which isn't that big of a deal but it would have been a nice feature to have.

The sound both in low and high volumes is perfect
Hey, I know I just splurged 160 bucks on this speaker, and I totally get it. It’s a major upgrade from the old models, and it’s way more durable. The sound quality is incredible, and I love how compact it is. I have other Bluetooth speakers, some bigger and some smaller, but this one fits perfectly in my life. I can strap it to my bike, put it in my thermos holder around my backpack, or just toss it into my bag. Either way, I have a speaker that delivers great sound, but the real reason I bought it was because it can reverse the tracks, which the previous models couldn’t do. And sometimes, I just want to hear a song one more time. Oh yeah!.!!!!

WAY better than expected…
Holy moly!! I’ve had various Bluetooth speakers over the years, and most of them were very highly rated on Amazon. They’ve always been good for small venues, but never any substantial effects. A friend of mine has a Wonderboom, and I was actually impressed with the sound quality it produced, so I figured out it was time I got a new speaker since tech has gotten better. Straight out of the box I connected my phone and chose a song by Rise Against. Was not expecting the sound quality and bass at all!! I put her to the test and cranked it to max. My entire house was booming and no loss of sound quality. One heck of a powerful little speaker that delivers sound system quality music!! The fact that it’s dust proof and waterproof…this little beast will be going on many adventures. Glad to have a speaker that’s small enough to take with me and don’t have to worry about it getting damaged easily!!A little bit more spendy than other speakers, but you get every dollar's worth.

Battery
This one doesn't last 16 hours. On a full charge, inside my home, it lasted a little over 8 hours with no boost. It also doesn't come with charging equipment. You'd think for what it costs, it would last as long as stated and come equipped with a charger. I'll be returning ASAP. Only reason for 3 * is b/c the sound quality was pretty decent.

Big Sound Upgrade
Have an old UE Wonderboom that I’ve been using since it came out like 8 years ago, decided to try this out just to see how speakers have improved. Major upgrade, should’ve done it sooner. If you have an older Flip you may not notice a big bump in quality but if you’re just using a basic Bluetooth speaker you’ll definitely be able to tell a difference. I could actually tell this has more bass than my old speaker and this is way louder and the sounds are more distinct instead of blending together. You get what you pay for, it’s not cheap but if this lasts 8 years like my old one I’m ok with it.

More like a Flip 6+
Coming from having the JBL flip 6 for a couple years, the Flip 7 is a welcome upgrade in many departments, but don't go rushing out to get it just yet.Pros:-App offers more customization with a better EQ and features to extend the battery life-16 hours of battery compared to 12 hours from the flip 6- Feels more rugged and durable- sounds great and gets louder than you would expect for its size- Bluetooth 5.4 is way better than the previous Bluetooth 5.1(Connects faster, music playback does not dropout at all)Cons:- the attachable accessories are nice, but are more limited than the lanyard found on the previous flip 6- The price is a bit steep at $150- No Charging cable included in the boxIf you plan on upgrading from a flip 6 or a similar size portable speaker, id say you can hold off for a while if your speaker is still good, and wait for this one to go on sale anywhere from $99-$129.If this is your first speaker, there are many other options that are good options for cheaper from brands like beats, Sony, and maybe even the flip 6 is still very solid and way cheaper (these options range from $89-$129), or if you can come up with $50 more the new JBL charge 6 is a major step up in sound and battery and ill for sure recommend that one over this one any day of the week! For me personally my beats pill sounds a bit better having deeper bass and feeling more premium( and you can get it for as low as $99 when on sale!). The price increase is also a turn down for me, I’ll consider this speaker when its drops a few bucks(around $99-129).I hope this review helped your purchase decision, take care and have a great day!

Flip 7 speaker
Bought this to replace a speaker I had for 15 years. This is way better than the old speaker. Sounds great for its size. Great for listening to music while working.
