I was hesitant to purchase these based on other reviews, but I have had nothing but a positive experience. The price is amazing for what you get, they stay on my clippers very well. My only negative is the fact that the lid of the storage compartment comes off too easily, but I am not concerned about that since the clipper guards worked so well and stay on so well. Definitely worth it!

Nice, but I have to use a 30 blade on my dogs and these don't fit and there's nothing in the description that says that. Called Andis and she was very nice, told me what combs would fit. None come in boxes. Tried ordering box separately but it didn't work with new combs.

Better than the ones that comes with the clippers. These should come with it instead of the cheap ones.

These are a well made set of guards. A lot of guards are made of cheap plastic, but these seem very solid. It's a little early to tell, but they should be much more durable.

I ordered these because the photo shows metal blades, so I assumed the black was painted to look better and protect the metal. I was instantly pissed and tried to return them, it said this item cannot be returned. The blades are plastic, they are thicker plastic but still move. I take care of two standard poodles, brother and sister, who have very unique hair. Even after a shampoo, conditioner, and brushing while drying standard plastic blades get caught. I used a friends metal pair and they worked perfectly. So you can imagine my surprise when I opened the package and they were plastic. This is false advertising, bait and switch, straight up con, whatever you want to call it. Either way the manufacturer is dishonest so I will never buy anything from this company again even if it's something good. However they did fit my #10 clippers very easy so I gave a 5 star for that, the rest were 1 star because I couldn't go any lower.

The info I got directly by calling Andis should have been in the description. Plastic will not work on thick coats AT ALL. Andis said these are professional tools for trained groomers, I guess assuming novices would not be considering them and need more detailed information. I bought plastic because the metal was not available from Andis or Amazon. I have metal combs coming on Wednesday and can finish the job.The biggest problem using the 1" plastic comb was that it kept falling off and my dog's hair is so thick that I did not notice I was going from a 1-2 inch cut to cutting next to the skin with the #10 blade only. Not a good look, but those spots don't show much. And, my Doodle's cuteness is very distracting.I saw a sad video on YouTube of a dad cutting the family dog which was bigger with even thicker, longer hair doing the same thing I did - with awful results. I felt so sorry for him. He rated the trimmer "excellent," as do I, and I expect all will be well once I get the metal combs.Andis support seems to be excellent. I was told where I could buy the combs. But I did not find the videos as helpful as they were described to be. Thankfully, there are tons of Doodle videos on YouTube.

I don’t know how much use I’ll get out of these, because my doodle’s coat is a curly nightmare, it these are pretty nice, clip on to my Andi’s ultra edge 2 blade easily and come in a very nice storage/organizer. Clear, hard plastic, snap on lid and display. The guards are color coded and arranged so they are easy to see.
