This is one of my favorite books to read to elementary kiddos! It's so cute.

It teaches color and that being who you are is the best choice , illustrations are beautiful

I liked everything about this book. Cute little flamingo to make comical illustrations. The story line is so much fun. I buy books for kids. This a good one for gift.

What a fun story for young kids to hear. This story is about little flamingo who learned how she is pink (by eating shrimp). After learning that, she started to eat everything she saw to see if she could be that color/pattern. In the end, she realized she wanted to be like her old self. Its nice for students to hear that, it also was silly and had my students laughing. I also like it how it taught my students a random cool fact - how flamingos are pink!

Got this for 6yr old granddaughter. She LOVES flamingos. Cute story and gets her reading in.

Colorful pictures. Would recommend for approx 1year -4 years. Great for all as gift or teachers for boys and girls.

Absolutely adorable book for my 3 year old grand daughter who loves “mingos”. The story line is simple but exciting to see how Sylvie changes with each new food. Loved the illustrations. Very colorful and detailed. Was very happy that Sylvie was most happy just being herself. I purchased a Melissa and Doug plush flamingo to go along with the book. She loved them both.

I really enjoyed this story. The artwork is beautiful and the story has a good message. You follow Sylvie, the flamingo, as she takes on physical aspects of those around based on what she eats. She learns along the way that it's ok to embrace who you are, but can still add a little of your own pizzazz and let your own personality shine through. I got this for a friend's baby shower along with a tie-dyed flamingo to go with it. It was a big hit!

Lovely story for all young readers, not just those who love flamingos. Beautifully illustrated.

Bought this for my gf for Christmas as more of a funny gift, but she actually loves this book. It'll take an average person a minute or so to finish the book, but she loves the illustrations. She thought it was cute. It helps that she likes Flamingos too. She now wants other books by the same author. This would be also great for kids. Nice and colourful pictures and easy to read. The book is perfect size. A great book to cheer anybody up.

being a flamingo fan, i was always going to like this book...I have enjoyed sharing it with the children that I work with. A simple story with lovely illustrations...

Nice book.. teaches how it is best to be your self and not care to be like some one else.. book price is a little more i felt..

Pour être honnête, j'ai été séduite par la couverture et l'ai acheté pour l'anniversaire de ma cousine Sylvie avec qui j'allais pêcher des crevettes l'été en vacances... J'aime le graphisme très personnel et amusant. Mais l'histoire est plutôt plate et sans grand intérêt.
