A different type of racing game.
SF Rush 2049 is an interesting twist on the non-traditional racer. It is similar to previous releases of the same title, but with updated graphics and so on. The controls are smooth and pretty simple to learn. The amount of cars, tracks, and different racing modes realy helps the replay value. The battle mode is great for taking breaks from just a normal (if you can call them normal) races. If you like racing games and are not a die hard sim/realism junky then you will love this game. For those that are, stear clear, it's not for you.

I love this game
Addicting! I get hooked on this game every year when I visit my 8 and 11 year old nephews at Thanksgiving. The best part of the game is not the racing, but the other two "mini-games" that come along with it. There are so many racing style games that I get sick of them, but BATTLE and STUNT is both unique and tons of fun when you have multiple players. In battle everyone gets to drive randomly around a city (or arena) to find guns and to destroy the other players cars. It is the best of a car racing game and a first person shooter all roled into one. There is also a bit of strategy involved in the game since there are multiple types of weapons and you have to locate the best weapon to take on your opponent. Often this means protecting certain areas of the city since the guns always appear in the same spots (that sounds dumb but it actually adds to the fun of the game). Cool game! Stunt....well stunt is just fun to do!

Game came damaged. Didn't work.

Not as good as the first ones.
This game takes away from the reality-like feeling you get in the first 2 rush games. In those games you can look in Vegas and see the Stratosphere Tower, or drive through San Francisco and see the golden gate bridge. This game is too futuristic for my liking because the cars are futuristic and so are the scenarios. Stick to the first 2 games unless you like the futuristic feel. The one good thing about this game is the battle mode where you can battle your friends. That is where it earned it's 2nd star.

in fact great racing game
Normally, in a racing game, I can get the controls fast and start beating the AI easy. This is not the case in this game. If you absolutely hate blowing up, take a pass on Rush 2049. Or i'm just druk...

Another game that shows the Dreamcast is THE system to own!
I only have a demo disc from Official Dreamcast MAgazine with only one track, but I must say it lives up to the Rush name: Fast, agressive, fun, and exciting. My only gripe is that the 1track that I raced was a little on the boring side, but again, that was only ONE track out of six. A game that will tear apart the arcade racing genre, I am very excited for Rush's roar into home when its realesed. peace out

Best home version
Having played all the home versions (PS1, N64 , Dreamcast, XBox -which is an emulation of the Dreamcast version), I would say this is the best home version that was released.Using the VGA box, graphics are clean, crisp, and solid along accompanied with a smooth frame rate.Still a very fun and highly addictive racing game despite its age. I love discovering the alternate routes and shortcuts. Lots of vehicle mod options.

Awesome game 10/10
San Francisco Rush provides hours of entertainment, through different game modes. This is not not your average racer: the graphics are sharp, the controls are wonky and best of all it is set in the future. I would recommend this to anyone. 10/10
