One For All Remote Control Extender – Control 4 AV devices behind closed cabinet doors – IR Extender -USB powered– Plug & Play – black - URC1000

I have a TV stand with doors, behind which are the PVR and Bluray player. The patterned glass doors allow the Bluray player to work, but the PVR does not respond to the remote. I have tried a few of these type of devices, not so much cheaper, but from little know brands and the results have been from poor to average, which I decided I was no longer to put up with. I chanced upon this brand by buying two replacement remotes from Amazon and they were really well built and great in operation, so I decided to go for this product. The instructions could be a bit clearer, but the operation is first class, it really does work so much better than the other brands, picking up the remote at all angles of the room, where as the other brands, it was a struggle being anything off square-on. This must be the lead product and the price is incredible.

Very easy to install i didnt even read the instructions. I wanted to hide all my equipment away behind cabinet doors so this was perfect. I plugged the usb in the side of my tv box for power, placed the sensor next to my telly and put the IR senders on the inside of the cabinet doors using the sticky pads supplied and that was it. There was no technical set up. It works with my youview box, my sony blu ray and my tibo amp, and my marantz CD player, basically everything in there. Would recommend to even those who dont think they 'get on well' with tech.

Easy to use and set up and works flawlessly. No way to easily extend cables, which might be an issue in some set ups, although it works ok with my fairly substantial cabinet over quite long distances with components on different shelves.

Worked without problems across four devices, even with the transmitters lying in the cabinet rather than being fixed in place. The IR receiver is designed well and only flashes when receiving a signal, unlike a prior item with a distracting bright light all the time. The adhesive pads for fixing the transmitters are supplied loose so do not need to be used if not required. I bought this IR extender to replace a prior cheaper item which did not work with my Cambridge Audio Azur340R AV receiver (even with no remote present, the volume would randomly shift up and down).

UPDATE: I’m dropping this to 1 star. I tested and installed at night, but in the daytime with daylight in the room the range of the receiver has dropped significantly to the point where it’s useless from my sofa. This isn’t even direct sunlight on to the receiver, just ambient daylight. I will have to find another solution.Original review: It works, I don’t have any issues with the range of the receiver, but the total length of the cable from receiver to transmitting tails could do with being at least 0.5-1.0 metres longer. My modest sized TV cabinet has the cable hole in the back left corner rather than the centre and this makes enough difference that the cables only just reach, quite tight, meaning I can’t route them in a neat and tidy way.

I am redesigning my living room and purchased a nice new media cabinet. It currently stores:- Samsung TV box (The Frame)- Virgin TIVO box- Virgin Smart Hub- Amazon Fire Cube.This device works on all of the above items and once setup, I can now control everything from the one sensor that sits on top of the media cabinet. Simple and very effective!!!

Very rare that I leave reviews as normally I don’t feel I have the timeI purchased this just to try as I was sceptical if it would actually work, it’s awesome, I have my virgin box, Samsung DVD, Yamaha Amp in a solid oak unit, installed this in a few minutes and I can change all settings from anywhere downstairs! I don’t get how I can do it but I don’t have to be in line with the receiverAnyway in my opinion this is an awesome purchase

I purchase this item as I place all my video devices in a ventilated wooden cupboard with no access through front.This item is USB powered and draws very little power. If you have something like a virgin box or blue ray player with a USB port that should be fine to power it.There is a short delay between pressing button on remote and it retransmitting. It's about half a second and you may notice it but once you get used to it it's not an issue.It works with all the devices I have tried including Virgin Media box, Panasonic blue ray player and pioneer AV receiver.It's cheap and from a great company. You can buy cheaper unbranded ones but why bother when this is not expensive and just works.

I used it to extend the IR signal and keep the TV decoder inside a closed furniture. It works from many meters away and also from all different angles. It works as advertised.

Efter att tv boxen och förstärkaren hamnade bakom stängda dörrar så behövde jag flytta ir ögat. Fungerar perfekt har 1 mottagare ovanför bänken och 4 enheter bakom dörrarna.

Parfait fonctionne très bien je peux enfin laisser ma chaîne hi-fi dans le meuble fermé et utiliser la télécommande sans soucis.

Funciona perfeitamente dentro de um armário uma vez que o leitor de sinal exterior capta muito bem

Molto facile da usare, basta alimentarlo con l'usb (anche del TV), posizionare in maniera intelligente il ricevitore e le gemme trasmettitrici. Le gemme sono di dimensioni accettabili (altri prodotto sono molto più grosse). Il ricevitore è piccolo ed elegante. Un piccolo led blu lampeggia all'interno del ricevitore quando riceve il segnale infrarosso.Consigliatissimo
