The Kids' Cartoon Bible

I bought this bible for my grandson that has began reading now, I was delighted with the graphics and colors of the book but I was disappointed and annoyed when Adam referred in confusion to God as "yes sir?... err ma'am? ma'am? err sir?" There is no question that Adam and Eve referred to God as the Father and gender being a male. I know today's transgenders are persecuting bible publishers about the homosexual word be removed from bibles but to to bring more confusion as to call God ma'am or sir? is beyond me and I'm glad I'm there with my grandson to correct this false assumption in regards to God's gender. I believe all versions of bibles are clear on what his gender is. Since I'm just started reading with my grandson, I have to be more careful on potentially more errors in it. I was going to give this bible a 5 stars but on this experience I settle for 3 stars.

I bought this for my 6yo but after looking at it decided the presentation of the stories might be a bit much for him. I gave it to my 11yo instead, and she enjoys it. I think it's a nice companion to The Children's Illustrated Jewish Bible.

Great seller and as advertised. Big picture Torah stories without the details. Ok, but kids were wanting something more story-like, and felt like they were being talked "down" to -- better for younger kids in some ways.

I was looking for a Jewish version of the Action Bible. This is not that, but it is a comic book version of the bible. My 7 and 9 year old boys read it without prompting and almost look guilty if I happen to catch them in the act of reading it. ;)

Just a little bit to much like reading a comic book but it gets the point across to my grand kids, they are enjoying it

very good and age appropriate

This is a more recent and pricier version of the cartoon Bible my son read and re-read as a child.

Loved it. Hope my grandkids do too. We'll find out come Christmas.

It is full of lovely bright picture stories but I had not realised it is a Jewish publication, therefore no New Testament stories.
