Not working as doesn’t show wind speed and won’t take my wifi passwords. Manufacturer is sending me a new one

I bought this to be an additional screen for my weather station. It was very easy to set up and I love the ease of visibility from across the room. I have one in my office and 0one in my living room so I can stay up on the weather conditions wherever I may be in my house. It has a ton of functions and data that is fairly easy to access but I tend to leave it on the home screen. The home screen is customizable as far as the data you want to view but you have to choose from data combinations that are pre-set, so it is not fully customizable. I do think the price is pretty steep for it, but let's be honest, all Davis Instruments weather stations and parts are expensive so you just have to deal with that. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase and it is a definite upgrade from the old monochrome LCD, non-customizable consoles.

There are a couple of things missing that I really find important. One is peak wind gust for the day showing on the display screen and the moon phase isn't working. Some more color on the screen would be nice too to highlight some of the indicators. Hope they apply some software updates soon. But overall I like it better than the VP2 screen.

My Vantage Pro 2 Console went blank and the on-line tricks to rejuvinate it didn't work. I decided to try this rather than a new Vantage Pro 2. It is pretty easy to set up, easier to read and has lots of data just not as much displayed as the Vantage Pro 2. The benefit of this is that, when connected to W-Fi, it feeds the Davis app which is excellent. I already had the Wi-Fi connector so this console only adds redundancy but for anyone who doesn't have their data feed to the App, I highly recommend it to track weather at the station from any internet connection world-wide - and you get lots of useful data without upgrading to a paid subscription.

I replace my main Vantage Pro 2 old style console with this new display. it improves the ease of viewing by 100%. Range is no problem with the senser on my tower at 30' and the console on the opposite side on my house about 200' away. The only complaint I have is why did Davis replace the period (.) for a comma (,) on the display and also in the WeatherLink IOS APP? The new display is a big step up. I just ordered another for my bedroom, again to replace the older Vantage Pro 2 console. It is nice having a modern style display for my weather station. As a sidenote I am keeping and old console in service for local data logging and archive using the Weather Link Windows software that I have been using for many years.
