Good for finger accidents
This is better than a band-aid and stays on. It also provides protection in the form of cushioning to the injured finger. Good to have around .. we put in our first-aid box. Thanks Amazon.

When you want a clean professional bandage on a finger.
The media could not be loaded. This protects the finger perfectly. Think of a sock just for fingers. Step 1. Slide the tube sock onto the metal duckbill and bunch it up so multiple layers can keep the bandage layeredStep 2: Pull the open end so gauze covers the finger down to the nail. Twist the applicator to close the opening. Step 3: Push the applicator back to get a second layer of gauze. Step 4: Pull the applicator back to the nail for a third layer and twist to seal off the end again. Step 5: Push the applicator back for the last layer. The layers act as a splint to partially immobilize the finger, but it can breathe to heal. Keep the bandage dry to encourage healing and cleanliness. Change it at least once per day. Follow medical directions on treating the wound and antibiotics, and you couldn’t get better care.

An excellent product, just like the doctor uses
An excellent product, just like the doctor uses. Due to my wife's finger surgery, we needed to put on this gauze repeatedly over some weeks. It is the same product the doctor and hand therapist were using. The applicator tool, allowing you to use a longer piece and layer it easily worked very well.

Only a small quantity I forgot to read fine print
I ordered "Surgitube" before, I failed to note this has only 10 yards. I ordered the 50 yards package and found out this is not just good for finger injuries but is also superior for applying to wounds on your toes. I had a toe wound that required 10 visits over two months and I forgot about using Surgitube instead of gauze pads and tape. It would have been safer, cleaner, and cheaper to just use Surgitube on toe #2 (not the great toe) naturally you still need to apply triple antibiotic ointment and a small gauze pad before using Surgitube. An applicator is not necessary. But a toe wound needs to have the dressing changed every single day. This product and changing daily can save your fingers and toes. ADDED As far as I can tell this is the smallest size available. This may work for smaller fingers but as directed place the end of the surgitube on the base of the finger and place a small piece of 3M cloth surgical tape (not carried by walmart anymore) available at most pharmacies. Then twist the applicator (if it comes with one or if not twist the surgitube at the tip of the finger or toe and puch it down to the base of the finger. Naturally this is NOT a sterile dressing so you need to place a small size gauze pad with "triple antibiotic ointment" directly on the wound and place a small piece of 3M cloth tape on the gauze pad to hold it in place. Then apply the surgitube over the finger or toe. Remove everything at least once a day and repeat the procedure. To keep the surgitube clean and dry as when hand washing there are "Finger Cots" made of latex that can be rolled over the injured finger. They can be "reused". Generic triple antibiotic ointment is all you need. Note the AMOUNT of surgitube you are ordering. A 50 yard box is NOT going to expire or go to waste. A hollow plastic tube about 5 inches long can serve as an applicator as long as the tube with the surgitube (twice as long as the finger or tube) can fit over the finger or tube. I am currently looking at thinwall PVC or CPVC or other thinwall plastic pipe as an applicator.
