Great addition for people with limited mobility
This is a great addition to a standard single bed to make it more convenient, the handle works very well. Some product enhancements will make it even better;1. Option to fix the crank from either side2. Pins on the side / pillow guard could be a bit more robust3. Some sort of clamping arrangement to clamp this unit to the cot would have been helpful

The handle is taped in the side rail, it isn't structiral strenghtening component.
The media could not be loaded. Well done Mannar industries, well done, it's a pretty nifty product, well thought of design and very easy to use and decently built, price point may be a bit above average but Id have paid extra for the scissor jack feature. Just please add an instruction manual to assemble this like what Ikea does and label the components to make it fool proof. Most customers including myself missed the jack handle that was taped in to the side support rail, mistaking it as a structural strengthening component, was looking at it and wondered why is there tape instead of welds on it and it dawned upon me that's the handle. My apologies to Miss Esha on the amazon call centre for all the trouble I put her through to get a component replacement. Cheers from a very happy customer.

A good alternative for hospital bed
This is a very good innovation towards converting a conventional bed to a semi-hospital type bed for bed ridden people of patients to take care at home. The product is easy to use as well as portable. However, the price is bit higher than that it should be.

This is one product which I recommend anyone who is looking for an alternate to hospital beds at home for elderly or patients with bed rest. The winding process is smooth even if the patient is laying down. It can be operated from either side and can be placed on any bed or surface. Put a single mattress on it and you are ready to go.
