Perfect for my beach trip. Brim is just the right width to cover my face. It is a stylish hat and easy to pack without losing its shape. I love being able to keep it snug on my head when the wind is blowing. Looks great.

I recently bought this hat for a week-long trip to Arizona, and it is a wonderful purchase! The hat got folded up and shoved in a very packed purse on the plane, and it looked a little crumpled when I pulled it out many hours later, but lo, overnight it went back to its shape, and it's perfect again, without any steaming or shaping! It's just the right weight, and a true, sturdy chin strap (needed up in the mountains, or I would have had it blow away). It was also (accidentally) worn in the pool and one side of the brim did get weight, but no bleeding/no stain, and no impact from the water.I have a pretty large head (a lot of 'large' size headgear is still too small.) I did buy this in the large size: this hat fit just right! For those with slightly smaller but still large noggins, there is a velcro adjustment. I've bought several hats on Amazon in the previous couple of years: most turned out to be useful for a week or so, but then the sewing gives out or the straw starts fraying, they look crumpled after one trip, and they turn out to be more Halloween costume style than a true hat... not this item!The hat is well made, actually packable, medium weight, with a real drawstring and it's flattering! I was so impressed that when I got home I bought it in another color. I'll note that the beige color is perhaps a bit thinner/lighter than the mixed black color, which is appropriate for very hot weather gear, but it's as well made as my first purchase.I cannot find any flaw in this hat, perhaps the hatband/chinstrap could be made with a slightly thinner cord, but that is my only, very weak, suggestion for improvement. Just buy it, I think you'll really like it!"

I purchased this for a recent trip to the Bahamas. The brim is just the right size offering plenty of protection from the sun. The color was beautiful and the material was very nice. I was able to fold it up. It packed away my suitcase without it leaving lasting marks. I order a small medium and it still is a little bit big.

This is a great hat! I bought this one and a different visor-style hat for a recent trip because both had great reviews. This one was actually my favorite! I folded it into a fourth and packed it in my carry-on (basically folded it in half, pressed it flat, then folded it in half again, so the whole thing was a bit of a triangle shape). I had no idea if folding it like this would ruin it, but it returned to normal shortly after unpacking! I got it wet several times during the trip, and it dried quickly each time. I loved the chin strip, though I did flip it over the top and let it rest behind my neck most of the time because I wasn’t in a windy environment. It fit well and kept the sun off my shoulders. I burned my scalp using the other visor hat early in my trip, and I was so grateful to have this one for much better sun protection. Not to mention, it was so cute and went well with all my swim and beach attire. Highly recommend!

Great hat for shade. I'm fair skin and need more than a visor. I love this. It is comfy and looks great on.

Love the hat in terms of weight, looser fit and also easy to fold and take traveling. Not well-made though; less than a week after purchasing it and wearing it daily on a Grand Canyon trip, the hat wave ripped out from the grommet (someone else took a photo of this happening already).I stitched it back together, which took a good 30 minutes and tried to reinforced it. But another windy day is sure to rip it out again.I specifically needed a stylish hat with a chin strap to keep the hat in place in windy conditions and sailing. The grommets are not woven into the material (or perhaps the wave of the material isn’t tight enough for locking in the grommet) to withstand windy conditions. Generally defeats the whole purpose of buying it since live in San Francisco where the average costs are 15-20 mph most days of the year.This hat is great if you live somewhere that rarely has windy days. I’ll keep it and try to rotate out with other hats that do better in wind.

I was starting to think my head just wasn't made to look good in hats. They're either too big or too small. I'm a farmer or Elmer Fudd. I'm a leprechaun in a top hat, no no! now I've got a hat 17x bigger than my head and I can't even hold my head up correctly.Anyway, you get the point. Ever virtually window shop Amazon when you can't sleep and wake up to find emails saying "hey insomniac! Congratulations, you have brand new xyz out for delivery 👏" this purchase was one of those. And thank goodness for my overactive mind that makes bedtime such a hassle. Because I've finally discovered the unicorn sunhat.Yall. This hat is IT. It fits perfectly. Not too tight where you get a headache and feel like someone just bandaged your head. Not to loose where it keeps toppling off. The Drawstring is amazing for helping secure it, especially if it's a windy day at the beach or you're doing something active on the water like kayaking, SUPing, chasing your tiny humans, etc. It's big enough to provide sun protection without being so big you're ultimately wearing an umbrella on your head. It's adorable and stylish (she says having zero fashion sense). The price is decent. The quality seems great. And it can fold to be packed but POP OUT like a 1960s dancer from a surprise birthday cake.Clearly, I am sleep deprived. But the hat is great. Buy it. You won't regret it.
