Does the job well, brought an old guitar amp back into use
Bought this to bring an old guitar amp back to life. The board I received has dual 3A polarity protection diodes on the power supply input, enabling you to reach higher output levels more safely, similar boards I've seen only 1A versions, which could be problematic. Running mine off a ex laptop 20V 65W power supply , which is sufficient for my needs and it runs cool, load is a 3ohm speaker. Upgrading to a 24V 5A supply would enable it to get closer to the 100W figure, but at that point the heat sink is probably going to need assistance from a fan and I really don't need the extra volume. It is perhaps a little noisy at high gain, I've replaced the variable resistor with a regular pot and have a NE5532 based pre amp board feeding it, but once there is signal it's fine and in a guitar amp application, I'm not finding it an issue. Overall, at this price it's a pretty impressive board.

Perfect for a subwoofer
I replaced my a/v receiver and didn't realise the new one required an active (powered) subwoofer. The woofer I had still sounded fine and so I thought I'd take a punt on installing this amp to effective convert my passive sub to an active one. Simple to install and works like a charm - every bit as good as the active subwoofer I have in another room.

Broken on delivery
On opening the packet I found that the amplifier was damaged, one of the electrolytic capacitors had become detached. Board has been returned for a refund.

Subwoofer amp board
Really pleased with this. Arrived well packaged and on time.I bought this together with a laptop power pack and it works a treat on what was my passive subwoofer.

Great Little Amp
The amp has been running for a few days now without issue.I bought one elsewhere a while back and it arrived with the heatsink detached as it was just held on with thermal glue! The heatsink on this amp is screwed on which is perfect.

Do your research first
Ordered 2x boards (since they're mono) and both arrived with bent over pins causing shorts on the inputs (capacitor legs have not been trimmed), quickly sorted but both suffer from the dreaded hiss as the gain has been set to max. This not something the average user can address as you have to remove the heatsinks and remove one SMD resistor to bring the gain down to sensible levels.Once modified the boards sound great with 8ohm loads but there is signifcant roll-of at higher frequencies with 4ohm loads due to the output inductor values being too high (33uh) so these need careful pairing with the right speakers or would make a great subwoofer amp.

Good
Well made amp board. Not to good with a 12v power supply so used an old 19v laptop power supply an it sounds sweet value for money
