The Beast
It’s a great watch for what it is. A modern tool watch. The added Bluetooth features are a treat. If you’re planning heavy duty work, keep a Cr2025 battery in your pack and suitable key as the battery is the one gripe (low battery life, no solar).Compass is easy to read and the other features are as per usual if you’ve bought the “Master of G” ranges before. It’s big but very comfortable on my 21cm wrist, more comfortable than the Rangeman for example , due to the added support under the lugs. For reading of time, the dial is very legible. The backlight is very bright and therefore the digital screen is also legible at night. During the day, you need to deal with the negative display which take some getting used to. Not a train smash at all, but for some it’s an issue. So be aware.I have the orange version, which is quite a looker if you like a splash of color. All in, I can recommend the purchase for anyone looking for a modern heavy duty tool watch. Color choice is a personal one.Enjoy it, make memories and don’t forget to love, my good people. Life is short. Live it. Love it. Cherish and protect you and yours.Go well

Beast of a watch
This is my second G Shock. My first was almost 10 years old and I literally beat the crap out of it. I still use it for knocking around the house, yard work and whatnot, and it's still going strong. I got this watch because I wanted a few additional functions, and also wanted to upgrade my look. The band is pretty stiff, but fits nicely around the wrist and is very comfortable once its on. The backlight is very bright, the white numerals stand out even in the sun. The negative display is a bit tricky to read in the daylight, and the backlight doesn't really help much. The compass, as far as I can tell, is pretty accurate. The thermometer works well, but if you're wearing it the reading will be skewed by your body temp, so you need to take it off for a bit. I'm still playing with other features, but it is easy to navigate through each one. The app makes setup super easy. Overall, I am pleased with the purchase, and with the number of compliments I've gotten so far.

My favorite watch.
EDIT - this is listed for $258 right now. If you’ve been waiting - buy it now cause ive never seen it that low.I bought this to splurge on something for myself, and I’m really happy with it. My favorite G shock and ive been looking at mudmasters for a while now. It does a whole bunch of things that ill never use, but having the app to change alarms and settings on the watch by using your phone is much easier then not having it.. The step counter is also kinda fun. Its not very heavy either which is really nice. The solid construction and quality of build is very obvious. I like the orange band which i wasnt sure i would. Most of my other watches are all black and the orange color adds some nice detail and makes it stand out. I was originally planning on buying an all black model, but I’m glad i didnt. Ive added a screen protector to mine, which you might notice in the pictures. Yours will not come with that. I work a labor job and I’m not planning on beating the hell out of it, so i do take it off if i know ill be doing something destructive - but it does get bumped every now and then - so if it does get scarred up the bezel is replaceable. I have many G shocks and this is the most expensive one out of them so far. They make plenty of other options if you want something you don’t have to care about. I recommend the square face model if thats what you want. Its a basic watch, easy to read, small, thin, practically weightless and only about $40. This mudmaster is not that. While I’m sure it will hold up to real abuse - i for one dont plan on finding out. I dont wear this everyday since i have others, but so far the screen protector has also held up nicely. That is available on Amazon too. I think i paid $303 for this watch, and now its down to about $280 in the ever changing amazon prices - so keep an eye on the prices if youre not in a rush.

My last Mudmaster, but not my last Casio.
I’m a contractor and I like sporty rugged watches. I have an assortment of Casios. I told myself this will be my last. Hmm, not sure about that. This watch is super easy to read. Numbers are large and legible. One touch and the illumination of the light is fantastic! No complaints at all. The band added flair and my favorite color is green and I have a few watches with green bands so I wanted something different. Orange is eyes catching but not too ostentatious. Using the App to set up the watch was a breeze. I also watched a few you tube videos before purchasing. The “Watch Geek” is great for learning about Casio watches. I like the watch very much. The band is new so in time it will probably break in. I like the the little indent to keep the band from moving. I have a Pro trek (Casio) that band is. Resin. Best type of band for me. More comfortable than this watch by far. I’ve found the Casio watches in the over $100 to $340 tend to be the better value. I’m a firm believer in you get what you pay for. I really don’t use the compass and alarm features. I wanted a watch that was attractive, rugged and sporty. Casio makes so many watches. Every time I glance at my watch I smile inwardly. It’s a handsome and manly watch. Proud to wear it. I’m dying for somebody to take notice of my Casio watches. It would make my day. Until then I’ll just admire it myself.

The app makes it easy
The watch is amazing. The manual buttons are a little tricky however the app solves all those issues + more. Durability is great, the light is far better than any other gshock I have owned. Water is not an issue (pool, shower, whatever) and at the price you can’t beat it.
