I removed the bumper to install this camera into my C30 and it was a fairly straightforward process. The wires are long enough and the camera has an overall good quality. However, the included instructions are not very clear and I had to configure the power a few different ways to get it working with my setup.When installing I used the OEM foam grommet, and it seals fine. The LED lights built in are a cool white colour (my best guess is possibly around 4800k-5000k). I tried to find an LED that matched as closely as I could for the other side, but the mismatch doesn't bother me too much as I can't see it when I drive anyway. I actually opened mine up to see if resoldering the LED was doable but there is a clear glue covering the board to seal/waterproof it. When reassembling I added some more RTV silicone to seal up the hole for the wire and rubber gasket as my unit didn't have the best seal to begin with and the original seal was pretty bad IMHO. You can pick up RTV silicone at any hardware store, no biggy.All in all the camera quality is good when objects are close to the camera. The picture quality looks a bit washed out when those objects get further away, but, I would argue that you're not going to be using this to capture the sunset anyway. It does a great job as a backup camera. It's a good camera and has a great form factor and made for a very clean install on the C30. I'm giving the camera 3/5 stars due to the seal/poor instructions but I'd say it's easily a 4.5/5 if you're the DIY type!

This camera looks OEM. You would relly habe to lool close to figure out that it is an aftermarket add-on. Heck, you would have to know that these Volvo's disnt have the option to begin with to tell it wasnt original equipment. I have a 2005 XC70 and am very psyched to finally have a backup camera. No more guessing how close i am. No holes had to be drilled. I had it profesionally installed but my installer also commented on how nice and low profile this is. The light works and the camera is very clear. The guidelines are there. Apparently there is no steering sensor in my car so when backing up the lines dont move to reflect turning but i kind of prefer it that way. Very happy to have found this option!

Perfect fit. You do need to splice in to the power circuit for the license plate light in order for the light to work and the only thing that would make it better is if it came with a that fitting instead of having to cut and splice. But if you are handy enough to be installing this yourself then I guess they assume you can handle splicing a wire or two.Very clear picture and the guide lines are spot on. Seems to work well enough in low light or night time with the car's backup lights.Volve does not give you a good mounding position on the XC70 so kudos to whoever came up with the idea of using the license plate light.

Installation was reasonably straightforward on my 2007 S60R. Tapped into the reversing light and ran the wire up to the back of the JVC Headunit I have.

Terrible video from this, it's as if the iris is stuck open. You can't even see anything during the day, it's just all washed out.

Fit my 2005 xc90, installation is pretty straight forward. Video quality is good. problem area are as stated the power cable is not long enough for the xc90 also the video cable too, the unit seem to need a constant power like accessory power or the battery. The camera recess alittle too much and some of the video is slightly obscure, not much.
