This is a solid option for beginners but the latch gets lose after like a month or two and it becomes a bit annoying when using with a lose latch.everything other than that is great. When it arrived it was a bit cranky so I put oil and it's fine we need to oil it every 10 days or every week of ur using it constantly.

Amazing item for anyone who is trying to learn how to use the butterfly knife. This does NOT work as a comb though but works just fine for someone who wants to learn how to use an actual Balisong knife without hurting themselves.

I have been using this balisong for about 2 months now. For the price it is actually a good product. It is made of metal and is heavy as it is of metal. I struggled quite a bit to learn tricks as the joints were a bit rough initially, but it gets smoother over time. I would suggest lubricating the joints before using. One of the screws broke off after I dropped it a few times... Dropping is expected as it is a trainer, and people get it for training. So I had to tape the end of the handle to keep it from splitting. But the tape kept breaking so I had to use rubber bands. The other handle has also become loose over time. As you can see from the attached video, it wobbles until I tighten the screw, then after some time, it becomes loose and wobbles again. I understand that channel aluminium would be way costlier, but I would suggest that any day over this split handle balisong. The screws break or get loose very often. My main problem, or may be the only one that bothers me with this balisong, is that over time the play on the balisong is too much. It is so much, that the tip of the blade hits the handle and stops sometimes in the middle of the trick. I can't even tighten the screws on the blade, as it only has drive recess (or the hole for the screw driver to go in) on one side. So if I try to tighten, the whole screw turns, and I can't tighten it to reduce play. So I would like if they made the screws on the blade to have holes on bothe sides, like it is on the screws of the handle. The only reason one should buy this, is you are new to balisong, and this is your first balisong. Otherwise, just spend money and get one of the costlier ones without split handles. Overall, good product for the price. I would say it is a good way to get into balisong. Reasonably handle heavy (which is good for beginners). I would buy this first to learn, then get one of the better balisongs

It is completely made out of steel, feels weighty (about 110g), it does not open easily when it is closed so you need not to and has a great coat of paint that feels great and not cheap, I won't recommend this if you wanted to use it primarily as a comb though, it is more for tricks. In my opinion it is the best butterfly comb in this price range and a beginner should look no further. The screws feel a little grindy and squeaky so I recommend that you should lubricate the screws and washers immediately, trust me the difference is night and day.
