Bought this to make a repair on some rattan furniture we had just bought. Noticed that the chairs were a bit on the rickety side and then found out that some of the rattan binding was broken and that the joints were starting to come looks. So what else could I do with these new chairs? Well I could repair them with some rattan bindings. This is where this product comes in handy, as it was exactly as the picture. Right down the to blue string which is tied around it. The pieces are quite uniform in width. Most of them are quite long and of good quality, not too many knots or broken pieces. Just make sure to soak them in water for at least ten minutes before you start to work with them. Otherwise they start to break. But finished the repair on the chair, and so far so good.

This is my first time caning a rocking chair. So far, I have caned the seat and am now caning the back part. I ordered two hanks and it is taking nearly all of it to complete the rocking chair. The cane is in good shape. There were a few strands that had bad or torn places, but they were easily cut out. Most strands were nice and long. The finished chair is going to look great. I have just ordered two more hanks for another rocking chair. Hard work, but worth the effort. Although, I have no experience with ordering different caning supplies, I am satisfied with this particular item.

Just what I needed for a re-caning project.

Product arrived early during severe rain storm. There was no plastic around product either inside or outside the box. By the time I arrived home to get package it was soaking wet. It is now completely moldy and unusable. Would like a replacement or refund.
