Best dont use basics

I have been painting for less than a year but try to paint daily because I love it. I started with less expensive paint because I didn’t know the difference in paint quality and didn’t want to spend as much money initially. I use better quality paint now and mix it up more based on color availability. I buy lots of Liquitex paint and I really like it. They have great color options (their muted and metallic colors are beautiful), they are less expensive than the other paints I like and the caps are way easier to get off and on. The texture is great and they have great depth of color. They are also available through Amazon prime which is also a plus vs the other paints I like (Sennelier and Charvin).

I got this for a stocking stuffer and while it arrived in a plastic bag, the tube of paint itself was filthy. It looked like it was kicked around a warehouse then stuffed into a bag.

The paint consistency is a bit thick, but still works fine.

I often use Liquitex paint in my work. The Heavy Body type is opaque, and colors are intense. I recommend this paint.

I have been a painter for a long time, which is to say that I go back to old tubes of paint. I have used a red paint for years that was fairly close to blood red. Obviously paint formulas have changed, probably due to regulation of cadmium, which has been co-opted by computer tech and battery production. There are no red acrylic paints anymore that are close to blood red as far as I can tell.

While I do paint with acrylics, that's not why I bought this.I have an office chair that one of my cats got their claws into. They'd completely destroyed my last one, so I was looking for a way to repair it before it could split anymore. This not only did the trick (because of acrylic paint's flexible nature), but it was a spot-on match. If it weren't for a very slight difference in sheen when light hits the spot, you'd never know there was a repair at all. Mixing in a little matte medium would have made it even better.

Liquitex is my favourite brand for acrylic paint. Important: study carefully the product description to know what you are buying. I personally only buy single pigment paints, and Liquitex is very good about documenting the pigment used and the characteristics of the pigment - transparency, lightfastness and series. Beware that prices can vary significantly, so check prices on a regular basis since there are sometimes good deals - saving approx. 30% of the recommended price.Otherwise: if you want your work to last and colours remain stable, stay away from cheap paints: they use cheap pigments which have poor stability and they also put less pigments in the mix, which ends up being a waste of money.

I love this colour from Liquitex. Their heavy body acrylics are superb quality and my favorite acrylic paints. It doesn't photograph well but it's one where a touch against a contrasting colour really sings, and though you can mix similar colours I think it's worth having on your palette whatever your style.

I am using them as oil paints. They are of course very different but lots of texture can be had by using different tools. They do dry VERY QUICKLY so you might want to use a retardant.

Exactly what you want from a white acrylic paint. The paint gives great coverage and the colour is perfect. Very happy with it and it will last a long time for what I'm going to use it for

This arrived promptly as was exactly the same shade as shown.It goes on nicely and has good depth. I prefer plastic tubes over metal as the paint is easier to extract and the top doesn't get all claggy.Always a great quality brand.
