It doesn't look, feel or smell like leather, so I don't think it's leather.It's relatively easy to set up, although I had to pierce the vinyl to find a hidden bolt hole. This would not be obvious to the less confident, furniture assembler.It's quite comfortable.It's much darker than the pictures, and of course has no leather patina.

"Leather"? Really? Faux leather!Not real leather, having said that the chair was easy to set up and nice and comfy.

Chair arrived well packed, parts protected by standard bubble wrap, with vulnerable ends encased in a sort of bubble foil, colour as described, however the "leather" has a matt finish not shiny as photos indicate. Accompanying diagrammatic instructions were concise and very easy to follow, assembly taking no more than 25 minutes or so using the supplied alun keys, one nice touch is bolts are already hand tight in position, so no guesswork as to which length bolt goes where. Once assembled the up/down gas lift worked well as did the weight tension control mechanism, which is used to adjust the weight of the user. As far as comfort is concerned it has to be 8 out of 10, for me the armrests could do with a little more padding, The seat and back both have air mesh side panels which make extended sitting far more comfortable.Apart from my one very minor niggle about armrest, and a bit more assembly than anticipated, an excellent buy.
