Air Gear - Complete Box Set S.A.V.E.

A fun series about a high school boy that gets into motorized skates. He lives with a group of girls. I don't believe any of them are blood related. He has been watching the girls' videos about the sport when they are not around. It has him scoffing to himself like he thinks it's silly nonsense. Then when he is going down the hall to his room, one of the other rooms is plastered with notes saying not to enter or mess with what's inside. A perfect invite. He's lived there most of his life, so him seeing the notes out of the blue indicates maybe someone put them there to lure him in. Inside he finds a huge collection of the skates that he never knew existed. He takes a pair out on his own and in a short amount of time, due to his natural ability, he is able to control them fairly well. Thinking on it, he believes the videos have helped him out. Then he finds out there is a whole culture of organized groups and that is mainly what the series is about. The girls were in a group and they are keeping him in the dark on its history. After a brief two months he is asked to head one of the major groups with over 300 members.There are lots of fun characters and fun situations. I particularly enjoy the episodes that feature the high school administrator and teacher.The final episode is a head scratcher. It's well done and the challenge they are doing is complete. However, it ends abruptly and with no end song or credits. I've read the series was cancelled because of poor ratings. It looks like they pulled the plug and didn't let there be a complete finish.("ANIME: Storytelling at its best")

man, i absolutely loved this series. the music, the humor, the tricks, the premise????? This show is absolutely enticing and everyone of watches it knows that its faithful to the manga in every way. except.........it cuts the series short at 26 episodes. omg i cant believe how crappy the ending was. by far the worst ending ive ever seen next to Claymore. (another series plagued because the manga still isnt done) Air gear however has finished its manga run. SO SOMEBODY BETTER MAKE THE WHOLE DANG THING. But this is really really great. what i recommend is buy this, then read the whole manga after. it gets pretty crazy and Iki just keeps getting more and more cool.but the ending is the only thing making it shy of 5 stars.

Such a great series. I'm so happy that I got the complete box set. My little brother wanted to watch this with me so I had to warn him that the series does contain a few boob shots. If you don't like the lime green S.A.V.E. panel on the side of the case then you can just turn the case cover inside out. The inside page doesn't contain the S.A.V.E. panel.

Sad they canceled the anime abruptly, but what they did put out was simply fantastic! Gotta see if I can find the manga volumes that continue the story where the anime ends.

Great anime! Also shipped promptly I got it 3 days before I was supposed to and the package looks as though it was brand new!!

I've been wanting to get this series for awhile now and was thinking about getting the Funimation S.A.V.E. Edition but when I saw the box set used-like new I couldn't resist getting it and with a great price. Thank you very much for letting me add this series to my Anime Collection.
