Magnum Classic Ice Cream Tub 440ml

I scooped up magnum’s ice cream as Amazon had lowballed it for £3. The Haagen Daz & Ben+J has gone up to about £5. I wasn’t expecting much from Magnum. Their tubs are a little smaller than Haagen or B+J and possess some poor reviews. But at that price I thought I’d try it. Everything changed as soon as I tasted this ice cream. Magnum is quality ice cream. It’s thick and full of chocolate. I can put smaller amounts into a bowl as I know I’ll be left satisfied. They definitely do not skimp on filling the tubs - a real joy to eat. My favourite part and the concept that has me hooked: their tubs have this chocolate layer on the inside of the tub. It’s solid when frozen but melts sublimely in your mouth. I could not recommend this enough, I could NEVER go back to Hagen Daz. Hagen is mostly ice cream with a paltry piece of filling here and there. Magnum has a a rewarding and rich taste. This is a real contender with B&J. The ice cream quality isn’t quite as high. But the layer of chocolate is something sublime every ice cream lover should try once.

It's a Magnum in a tub. It really is. It is magnum ice cream completely enclosed in a magnum style chocolate shell. The best way to eat this, is to plunge the tub into boiling water for 10 seconds. Turn it upside down onto a plate, and then gently ease the tub away. You'll then be left with a chocolate bombe. The only disadvantage to this, is that you will have to eat it all in one sitting. Life can be hard. I hope you found this review helpful.

Lovely creamy ice cream with added bonus of a generous amount of quality chocolate encasing it. My wife's favourite movie night treat. Go on treat her you know she's worth it!

Magnum Eis ist ja schon immer etwas Besonderes. Aber das legt nochmal ne Schippe drauf. Beim öffnen blickt man gleich auf eine Schicht leckerer Schokolade, die man mit dem Löffel knacken muss. Danach ist das ganze Eis mit riesen Schokostücken bestückt. Als wenn das noch nicht genügt ist, ist am Rand auch noch Schokolade. Wenn man die Packung leicht drück dann knackt diese auch nochmal herrlich. Das Beste Eis, dass ich bisher hatte.

Magnum halt. Mächtig lecker.
