This is the perfect beginners pottery wheel. My 3 year old was so excited to make her own bowl and it was fun to watch her experience something new. After it dried she was able to paint it. The clay easily cracks, so to avoid tears I definitely recommend following the instructions for drying. Love this new hobby of ours. Side note, the wheel must remained plugged into an outlet to work.

I'm really not sure product what these other reviews are talking about because it physically cannot be this one. It's so easy to stall out my 4 year old can with one finger. If he literally pushes one finger against the clay with even a tiny bit of pressure the wheel will stop as it doesn't have nearly enough torque to power the wheel. DO NOT BUY THIS IT DOESN'T WORK AT ALL. 5v 2 amp is just not enough draw capacity to ever power a wheel like this.EDIT: the customer support for this product is absolutely fantastic. While my original product did not work, they were able to remedy the situation quickly!

Cute product for my 7 year old. Great first pottery set up. It does come with clay but be prepared to buy more as it's just a starter pack, which is to be expected. I would say depending on how strong your little one is, they might have to let up on their strength 😉

I bought two of these from my five-year-old twin granddaughters. They love them. Keeps them occupied and introduces them to a new scale.

This might be my favorite purchase. I love how much fun both my kids are having with this pottery wheel. My kids are 6 & 4! They love it and fight over it, super recommended.
