I use it for plugging in a 115v boat winch to my portable generator. Makes 115v around the waterfront a whole lot safer.

Absolutely sturdy and built like a tank. This inspires confidence. I use it with an electric snow blower for added protection with my extension cord and it has been ultra reliable. Not sure about finding cheaper but this is worth it. Edit....this is no longer serving its purpose. Less than a year and I have to get a new one.
