Not great by any means but okay I guess for the price.
This keyboard feels horrible to play. The action is mushy. The keys push on a squishy rubber spring which connects contacts on the circuit board. It's a mechanism that works but requires too much pressure and velocity to register a hit. If the velocity curve was adjustable, I think I could make use of it. I bought it because of the reviews that said it was good for the price. I have to say I disagree. It really should be cheaper base on how it functions. Yes, it's cheaper but not enough that you shouldn't pay a little more and get something better. In my case, the money is wasted because I'm shopping for a better one. I'm a professional musician and copyist and mostly use keyboards to input pitches into notation software. I thought this keyboard would be a great size to use in bed. Honestly, it's exhausting to use because of the terrible action. My axiom is too big and I hate how much room it takes on the desk (or bed), but man was I glad to switch back to it.I think this keyboard is perfect for when all other keyboards in the world are broken and you really need to try something out really quick. Just don't plan on using it for a long period of time, like over 5 minutes.

This thing opened up the world of keyboard playing for me ...
Working on some demonstration recordings. I don't even play keys, but I picked it up really fast (as long as I'm playing in the key of C). And I learned Midi. I've been doing this for 50 years and all of a sudden I can play Midi. Isn't that interesting. It's fun. I will probably get one with more features, but it does have three octaves which I consider important and it works. My Mac found it without any drivers. There it was. Off to the races. Enjoy one. They're cheap.
