Works great, burns stuff fast, nice look, but it needs a place to safely be used.
It has a 50-gallon capacity, but because of its square footprint, do not expect it to be as tall as an oil drum. It doesn't come with a bottom, so you will need to build a pad to use it (compare to the AI-generated pictures showing it being used in lush grass and in a dining room). It works really well, except that ash/embers can escape from the slots. The herringbone slots allow it to burn things very quickly. It makes for a nice looking fire, as well, as the metal + the fire are beautiful The 40-lb of steel that you are getting, and the good construction, combined with the low price can't be matched, even if you were to try to construct this from scratch.

Heavy duty...
Very sturdy and looks good. Arrived well packaged and went together easily. Waiting for the screen that was ordered before actually being able to burn. Should be fine...

Does the job.
Okay, it's a fancy burn barrel. First burn the paint flaked off leaving bare metal exposed. Fire destroys period. You can always spray paint later with high temp paint. Be kind to yourself and keep it from rusting. Rust in itself is a slow combustion. As long as it burns, I'm good. It does that. Cardboard, paper, sticks, twigs, logs fine. Leaves do burn but will send out smoke signals. Especially if you put too many in at a time. It's not worth your time to throw a handful at a time. They will eventually cook down. Make a screen out of wire fabric.

Works as advertised.
Easy to assemble, burned nicely, even on a windy day, the powder coat paint shows no sign of heat damage.

Good burn barrel replacement
This thing works great! We live in the country. We recycle a LOT, but something you can’t (ex: greasy pizza boxes). My husband usually burned whatever in an old barrel. He needed a new barrel but couldn’t remember to locate one. So I gifted him this burn cage. Hold the same amount & burns faster.

Attractive and Functional, But Paint Quality Disappoints
I was excited to try this fire pit alternative, and there are definitely some positives worth mentioning: The Good: ✅ Easy to assemble — no complicated tools or steps required. ✅ Convenient shipping — unlike a traditional barrel, this can be delivered right to your door without needing a truck. ✅ Attractive design — it has more visual appeal than a standard barrel and looks great in the yard. ✅ Improved airflow — the vents on all sides help the fire burn hotter and cleaner. ✅ Low smoke — noticeably less smoke compared to a regular barrel. ✅ Minimal ash — when paired with a metal grill on top (purchased separately), only a small amount of ash escaped. The Bad: ❌ Paint durability — after just one use, about a third of the paint was gone. This was especially disappointing since the first burn was simply the box it came in. ❌ Safety considerations — while the side vents improve airflow, they also mean flames can shoot out from all directions. Unlike a traditional barrel where you mainly watch the top, you now have to be cautious of flames on every side. ❌ Ash dispersal — although minimal, the ash does escape from multiple sides, which makes me hesitant about how I’ll use it going forward. Overall: This product looks great and works well for burning with less smoke, but the paint quality is poor and the side-vent flames require extra caution. If aesthetics and convenience are your priority, it’s a solid choice. If durability and safety are more important, you may want to weigh those trade-offs before purchasing.

Burn Barrell!!!
The burn barrell works, but the paint burnt off quickly, and the supports on the inside bent from the heat. Other than that it works as expected.
