Cooks a lot of stuff at one time
Well...very easy to put together.I had to buy the griddle, stove and bbq box separately but it was pretty close to the price of the tailgaiter model so don't wait ...2 days delivery all 3..Griddle is kinda seasoned I didn't do much but spray it down after sitting in the sun with some some.pam..Wipe it down good a few times it'll be alright ....it's cast iron not rocket science...burners take some getting used to they go.out if your not watching...that's not unusual....I basically took this out of the box and 15 minutes later I was making bacon, brats and a baked potato...baked beans in the bbq box...I dont have an issue with the legs being uneven it sits in stone just wiggle it a bit.The hole in the griddle for grease to drain is in the left front corner...unless you tilt that way it will not drain...the back of the 14" griddle has a large trough catches all the grease from.the bacon I fried ..It's very easy to soak.it up.with a couple paper towels ....the hole in the front left just seems awkward I like the grease going toward the back leaves the food less oily.1 # of bacon is mostly grease .Just soak.it up.im the back and toss it in the trash what you dont want.Dont be getting all fancy with this thing it's a big ass propane stove you can use your own griddle ..cast iron skillets...pots and pans ...you can heat up the griddle and put pots pans and skillets on it.Mark the knobs might help to know where 350 degrees ....nothing below that cooks well ....that's the minimum...the bbq box is great for keeping stuff hot and made some awesome beans and a baked potato.Lot of folks complain about the wind guard but I have not got that issue. It is hard to see the burner to light it when you are set up...get the long lighter you hafta bend over and look from below if you have your griddle and bbq box on Pain in the ass. My only complaintI saw some videos of these with people using an infrared heat sensor to see what the temp.was....don't get silly it's a skillet and a oven in the simplest form if you can cook .....if you are you looking for a pretty basic stove that can don't all I'd say get this.one...No doubt I haven't used it much but after one time I find it to be durable and pretty well made...The bbq box is pretty awesome it is like a home oven and has a nice thermometer built in..actually quite a heavy item. You can use your own skillets..pots.pans with just the stove but the bbq box and 14" griddle are very nice....still working on the bbq box as far as what to cook...making baked potatos..Like I said don't get too fancy with this thing..it is a bad ass outdoor propane stove you can do anything with if you can cook .I bought the bbq box..14" griddle and the stove itself for 357$...camp chef did not have the tailgater which is the same 3 items...but seriously..if you have a propane tank you be 5 minutes and this thing is cookin...Definitely get the grill box...I give this thing thumbs up first day using it ....put it together 5 minutes....watch the flame 🔥 it goes up and down....go to harbor freight get some magnetic hangers hold yer stuff on the side for 3$.Definitely get the bbq box....u can use your own skillets and griddle and pots and pans..get the box...good stuff 😀 👍.

Makes Camping Easy
Just got it after returning from a camping trip. The stove that comes with my camper is great to cook with small pots. If you try to use a large fry pan or a pot that four people or more are eating out of then good luck. It either doesn't fit or the BTUs are too low to get the food hot, fast. I bought this because the BTUs are way better and you can fit normal size frying pans and pots on it. Its strong enough to cook with a large pot, but has the ability to cook on low temps too. I have a turkey fryer for the really big jobs but good luck trying to dial it down. It's usually either full blast or off. The Camp Chef is adjustable, strong when you need it or low when you don't want to burn stuff and can handle any size pot or pan. The legs seem pretty sturdy. It's very easy to set up. I will probably get the carry bag and the burner covers next. It will make it easier to carry and and the covers will keep the rain out of the burners.10/23/14 Used it to cook 7 lobsters in a big pot. It did the job, but just barely. If you have a really big job then your probably better off using the higher model that puts out 60,000 BTU per burner not 30,000. This works great for a dozen ear of corn or 4 or 5 pounds of pasta. I was asked about frying a turkey, we don't do much of that up here in New England, but I would probably go with the 60,000 to be safe.

Our new favorite thing
We got this for camping and emergency prep (in case we needed to evac). What we found is that it is much larger and heavier than we expected (duh....like we shoulda paid more attention to the product description), so although it's perfect if we need to shelter in place, it isn't the best choice for situations where we have minutes to escape the house from an approaching wildfire and need to toss it in the back of the car. For it to fit we might need to leave one or two cats behind.OK, maybe the cat thing is an exaggeration, but it is big and it is heavy. That's not the fault of the product, just our failure to read and understand its product description. That said, it is an absolutely awesome camp stove. We use it on our patio (I HATE our charcoal-powered BBQ), and have found we now seek out recipes for grilling just so we can use it. (We bought the grill/griddle plate as well.) It's powerful, compact, and grills food in a flash. Cleanup is quick and easy. It's perfect for tailgates and car camping (as long as you don't have to haul it a super long distance.) I like being able to grill on one side and have the other side free for boiling water or whatever. And as far as the weight goes, it's not so heavy you can't carry it (and it has a neat carry bag), it's just not conveniently lightweight where you could toss it in the car like a beachball, and it does take up a lot more room that one of those small lightweight coleman camp stoves (which we're also gonna purchase for our original intent--a quick stove to toss in the car in an evacuation event.)

Great Camp Stove
This is our 2d purchase of this camp stove. The first one lasted us 9 years. It was outside on a covered deck but we never covered the stove itself so it was subject to blowing rain, snow, etc. We used it mainly for deep frying outside so weren't really concerned about how it looked. The hardware was rusted so we didn't want to invest the time in disassembly, refurbishing, etc so we bought a new one. This one will be stored in the shop when not being used so I'm hoping to get at least 18 years out of this one. It's a great stove for deep frying fish, fries, or wings. The wind guard is a GREAT addition as well. Would recommend!
