Audio-Technica ATN85EP Replacement Elliptical Turntable Stylus for AT85EP Cartridge

While you could spring for a stylus which is less expensive, you may also end up with a stylus which is subpar and could potentially damage your beloved records. Hence, this is why I opted for this model which costs more than the generic versions, and having purchased Audio-Technica products for decades I have brand familiarity and am aware they make quality items. The stylus sounds fantastic and it's exactly what I needed to breathe life into my turntable, especially as my last stylus had lost its needle. The frequency response is perfect and I can rest assured knowing it's not damaging my albums, some of which are rare and irreplaceable. The purchase was worth it for peace of mind alone but the quality is outstanding. To extend longevity of the needle it's a good idea to give your albums a quick clean with at least a microfiber cloth to remove any dust so it doesn't accumulate on the needle, and make sure the platter is also free of contaminants.

Really an improvement from my old worn stylus. It's nice to know that I can still purchase a high quality, Japanese made replacement.

I updated my turntable needle after many years of playing time, I was glad to be able to find the right replacement, and my old Beatle records sound just like they did in the 60's.

Good quality as expected

The media could not be loaded.  The new stylus fit perfectly on my AT112E/U magnetic cartridge. My turntable is a 58 yr old Garrard A70 changer. It’s great to play those old lp’s again. 👍

I bought the AT85EP stylus only, my cartridge being just a few years old. The stylus attached very easily to the cartridge and the sound is just great! Curiously the model number of stylus and cartridge are both AT85EP. These items work with the Technics SL-D20 (Direct Drive) automatic turntable.

I have been listening to my old vinyl disks for a while now and damaged the needle and bent it. I ordered this as a replacement and it works great and has excellent sound

I recently got a Sony PS-LX430 turntable from my Dad that I wanted to use as a secondary/backup table. It still had the original cartridge and stylus, so that needed to be replaced asap. I didn't want to spend too much since this isn't my main table, and that's when I came across this. The price ($44) was right, and as a bonus I could even just buy the stylus as it's compatible with the original cartridge on this table. Long story short, I'm very impressed with this stylus. It doesn't sound as good as my main player, as it's a much nicer table and it's using the better and MUCH more expensive AT-VM95ML cartridge.. but at the same time it still sounds fantastic and it's made me question if spending that much money on a stylus/cartridge is really worth it. If you need a p-mount stylus or cartridge I'd highly recommend this one.

Baugleich mit AT3472SE und kann an allen AT-T4P System genutzt werden, auch den zahlreichen OEM Systemen wie Technics/Pioneer/Kenwood und und, das wohl meistverkaufte T4P System nach Technics "P" serie! Es wertet jedes System auf, ich nutze es am Technics P34 und bin sehr zufrieden. Das System spilet zwei klassen besser als mit der Original 0,6mil Conischen Nadel. Klare Kaufempfehlung.
