Finally, someone makes a decent canned cocktail.
I don't usually enjoy canned cocktails, especially those meant to be "strong" like an Old Fashioned, but this really hit the spot. 10/10, would buy again.

Whisky, slightly sweet... and slightly dull
Having really enjoyed Whitebox’s margarita can, I was disappointed by this Old Fashioned Cocktail for a very simple reason. It doesn’t really taste like a cocktail. It’s a whisky that’s been slightly sweetened, but the cherrywood bitters and the gum sugar make a fairly negligible impact on the flavour or the mouthfeel, and what you get is essentially just a whisky miniature, but in a can instead of a tiny bottle. It is a very pleasant whisky though, for sure. I tried the first half neat, and behind the familiar initial semi-sour hit, there’s a good amount of flavour interest in there. The sweetening takes away the worst earthy excesses of generic whisky, but the alcohol content is very much front-and-centre. The second half, I had on the rocks, which took the edge off and let the flavour breathe a bit more. I definitely enjoyed it, but when looking for character details in the drink that would distinguish it from other whiskies on my shelf, I couldn’t quite find anything. The 100ml can format made a bit more sense with the more complex cocktails from the brand, but the can is still very convenient (good for picnics etc.), as well as being competitively priced, even though it might not seem it at first. Even though almost seven quid for a tiny 100ml can might seem a lot, it doesn’t seem as bad when you consider it’s the same as two 5ml whisky miniatures, and you’ll be very hard pushed to find good ones of those for under four quid each. I’m going to buy other cocktails from Whitebox for sure, but this Old Fashioned Cocktail wasn’t quite interesting enough for me to want to go back to it.

Tasty Tiny Treat
This is a pretty nice pre-mixed old fashioned, considering it's in a can. I enjoyed it and I like a hand mixed one.

A superior canned drink
I am a bit of a drinks connoisseur and canned cocktails usually leave me underwhelmed. When Amazon provided me with three Whitebox Cocktails to review, my expectations were low. I anticipated they would be similar to the typical canned cocktails found in U.K. supermarkets, even the ones from stores with 'food halls' that often fall short. The first thing that caught my attention was the small size of the can—just 100ml. This was unlike anything I had seen before. Impressively, there were no filler ingredients, just the essential components of the cocktail itself, in this case whisky, bitters and sugar. The contents of the can were remarkably similar to what you'd expect from a good bar. The Old Fashioned was far from the diluted mix I feared—it was full-bodied and strong. I was thoroughly impressed. The only downside of a Whitebox cocktail is the cost; mixing your own drinks at home is definitely more economical. Nevertheless, it's far cheaper than ordering a drink at a bar and ideal for travel or enjoying in your hotel room. I never thought I'd say this, but I would actually consider buying these drinks myself.

Wow. Absolutely delicious. Strong and complex in all the right ways.
Whitebox know a thing or two about exceptional cocktails, that's for sure. Here you have an impressively strong, well balanced and very flavourful Old Fashioned. The Whisky is top quality. The bitters are deliciously spicy and smoky, The sweetness is kept nicely in check and the overall result feels and tastes like something you'd struggle to find bettered on a very expensive night out. The fact that you can keep something of this quality in your fridge, ready to go is pretty mind-blowing. This isn't in a race to become the cheapest 'old-fashioned-like' drink out there, this is bringing you the very best 'real' Old-Fashioned that you're likely to find. So, it is more expensive than others - but when you try it, you'll immediately understand why - then struggle to see how they can sell it for what they do. I'm beyond impressed. Highly, highly recommended.

Convenient, but lacks the punch of a freshly made cocktail 🍹✨
The WHITEBOX COCKTAILS Chipper’s Old Fashioned is a super convenient way to enjoy a classic cocktail without the fuss. It’s pre-mixed and ready to drink, which is perfect for a quick fix. The flavour is decent, but it’s a bit lighter than what you’d get from a bar or a homemade version, so it might not hit the mark for those who prefer a strong, robust Old Fashioned. Still, for its convenience and portability, it’s a solid option for an easy cocktail on the go!

Great tasting old fashioned
Item received in good condition in a nicely branded 100ml can. The can gives you the impression of a whisky barrel and comes complete with the best serving suggestion. Once chilled and poured this has a great nose to it, the whisky aroma mixed with bitters and sugars as it should be. This tasted rather good and I was definitely impressed with the taste, they have got the flavour combination just right. I like whisky but would never have this at home as its too difficult to get all the bitters and sugars you require so this is a great way of enjoying one at home without all the hassle. A little expensive for 100ml however I understand the cost of ingredients in this will be higher too.
