Lock Laces Premium Heavy Duty Elastic No-Tie Laces for Boots and Shoes (1 Pair)

This lacing system works really well, simple install. This lacing system turns even mid height boots into slip ons which is very convenient. These locking laces stretch snugly to keep the shoe secure and are a LOT more hygienic at the gym than standard laces. These locking laces can be trimmed to keep them off the floor. My new go to gym shoes have standard laces and they keep getting untied regardless of how tightly I lace and tie them. Great shoes, lousy laces! These new locking laces are a great concept that is well executed in reality and are the ideal fix for my purposes which was to prevent laces from untying, dragging on filthy floors and making all my hoots “slip ons”. I used a different, lighter color locking lace on my Icebug tungsten stud boots to easily differentiate them from my non-studded boots. If you’re not familiar with Icebug studded boots, they have tungsten carbide studs for traction in ice and snow and are a must for me in my location. The issue with Icebug studded boots is that that they will scratch or damage ANY indoor floor in seconds, hence the lighter colored laces to tell them apart from non-studded boots. My only “con” was not seeing the 2 pack for $17.99. I spent $11.99 for one pair. I wound up buying 6 pair of locking laces. Easy install and universal fit on most low to medium boots. Best shoe/boot upgrade for my purposes!

These laces are pretty great. The extremely easy to use and you set it and forget it. There's more than enough lace to go on the tallest boots. Every now and then I have to cinch them up but otherwise they stay completely tied.

Edit: Upgrading rating to 5 stars. Laces held up during a tornado and I had to run, climb, crawl through rubble and go through streams filled with crap. Laces held up supremely well, dried out phenomenally fast and still work great. Will purchase again. Disclaimer, product only received 4 stars due to not being able to tighten and hold firm. Understood that its a bungee bungee product and that was always a possibility. Cons: The laces hold the boots to your feet, and my boots have been used for almost half a year already and conformed to my feet and were never loose during previous uses. However no matter how tight i pull the laces, they will never be as tight as any normal lace (always a possibility with this type of product) i can run well enough in them, but they do allow my foot to slide if i push any direction but straight back with any degree of force. I dont know how well they would workout if i had to fight with someone standing up. Pros: They are comfortable, have 0 annoying squeak sound that some laces produce. Look good enough, and ease of putting on and taking off boots are similar to zipper boots without the risk of blowing the side out. I would recommend for any application other than a job that requires climbing and outdoor work due to the inherent risk of loosing proper footing. They would do well for any retail, factory, postal work, medical field, etc. Tldr: good product for moderate levels of activity. Might be less efficient during uncommon physically demanding situation.

I have these laces in 8" jungle boots (think "combat boots."). The boot laces are long enough to work well in those so they should work in pretty much any lace-up boot. Even those these are the "tall" kind of boots that totally come up the shins, I can still slide then on and off without unlacing or loosening anything. That's crazy useful. The boots also fit like they always have and don't slip around or anything. I don't have any scientific proof, but I feel like the boots actually conform to the shape of my foot better than they used to, and I don't have to spend a bunch of time trying to get the laces loose here so I can move that loose to somewhere else, or tighten my whole shoe just because I had to loosen the bottom to get my foot into the boot (with regular laces). So, summary: They work in 8" boots. Better fit. MUCH easier entry and exit. No problems with staying on, not being tight enough, etc. The only problem is price. This exact tech is all over Amazon for tennis shoes, just not long enough for boots. They really overcharge for the extra length. Minus one star.

They work, simple and easy to use, I was about to spend a lot more on a pair of boots with BOA system, these save some good money.

I hate how my boots were coming untied multiple times a day at work and thought I would give these a try. They worked great. I bought a set for my other work boots and my hiking boots. They are easy to adjust to the size boot by simply cutting to length and using the snap on clip to hold. The are sturdy and hold the boots to my desired tightness. The first pair I bought are probably a year old now and still going strong with multiple uses per week. The color is as shown and look great on the boots.
