Very pleased with the outcome
Delivery was very quick, the kit was easy enough to use with a friend on hand, I found siphoning difficult trying not to disturb the sediment, you really need an extra pair of hands. The sediment trap leaves out quite a bit of liquid, and coupled with the extremely vigorous fermentation during the first 36 hours (and loss of some wine I guess), I was only able to make 5 1/2 bottles, this could be beginner error. I drank what was left behind minus the actual sediment!, taste was very nice. Fermentation took 8 days, and I bottled on the ninth day.I rate this kit top marks though, as I am so pleased with the outcome, the wine tastes delicious, it is clear with no clouding at all, and no carbonation, perfect, and the labels add a really good finish to the final product, overall it made me feel proud that I achieved something I thought was impossible for me to do!.

taste ok to say it works out less than £2 a bottle I've tasted worse
Bought this with a gift card and it was simple follow the instructions and you won't go wrong, I rewrote things so it was bigger writing and a bit simpler but still same procedure, in the end I finished up with 5 and 3 quarter bottles of wine taste wise ok it's not the stronges alcohol level, taste ok to say it works out less than £2 a bottle I've tasted worse

Produces a lovely, very drinkable clear red wine 🍷
This was bought for my husband for Christmas. It's just hard enough to make you feel you've accomplished something when you get to the bottling stage. We've got four bottles of lovely clear red wine, don't know what happened to the other two bottles, probably lost through the taste testing (just to check it was ok 🤤). It actually tastes really good, to our surprise (we're wine snobs) and I thoroughly recommend getting one of these kits. We had great fun making the wine and we'll have even more fun drinking it, cheers!

Easy to make but not for my pallet
Easy to make. Wine is apparently ready to drink straight away or will improve for 3 months. Couldn't stomach the taste on day one so 2 1/2 months later hoping it does improve and become drinkable to my pallet. Not holding out much hope but will update next month for sure

Excellent Starter Kit.
Excellent kit to get started with wine making. Very compact and contains all the equipment and ingredients needed to make 6 bottles.... except 6 empty bottles.Ideal starter kit, but if you ever wanted to make more than 6 bottles at a time you will need a bigger kit. The mixing buckets only hold about 1 gallon.

Fab for a gift!
I bought this product for my dads birthday. My dad loves red wine and said this is just as good and the usual middle of the road bottle. I was very sceptical when reading some of the reviews but if you're a connoisseur and like a really fine wine then this likely isn't for you! The only thing that would make it better in my opinion would be a pack that has all the bottles and corks included.

Poor instructions and it needs an airlock
I've always done beer but I bought if for my wife to try brewing. We followed the instructions to the letter. I wasn't sure about the lack of an airlock in the kit, but the instructions say to seal the lid. We did that, next day there's a loud hissing in the spare room and we found red foam all over the place. Youngs should really include an airlock in the kit and amend their instructions. We ended up with a sticky red mess that stopped fermenting. Gave up and poured it away. We'll use the equipment again, but have put a hole in the lid for an airlock and have bought a better quality kit.
