Bought these for our study. We wanted something that sounded good, without needing to add a subwoofer or have any external amp. Lots of powered bookshelf speakers out there. After spending weeks looking at much pricier options I got fed up and just went for these. Plug in the power, connect the two speakers to each other with the supplied cable. Hook up the BT (first time no issues) and off you go. I'm usually one who wants a lot of bass. Had a pair of BK electronics subs in the past. But for a small room these are adequate. For us they'll be 100% for streaming music while we're working. They won't ever be pushed to the max, maybe cranked up a bit but nothing more. For the price point they sound wonderful. Enough bass, not subwoofer levels of bass but enough that they don't feel lacking. They won't shake your room but they don't lack in the low range too much. Build quality is great. They look nice. I can't speak for their longevity. Happy user so far.

I bought a Vonyx Verve for semiprofessional use but found it was great to use with my home devices. However you can't get stereo out of a single speaker. I have connected the Roxel Novas to the audio out on the Verve and the end result is unbelievably good. I now have crystal clear stereo across a great dynamic range. The connection options that the Novas have mean that they are very versatile and you can easily control the whole lot from the comfort of your chair using the remote. It has allowed me to connect everything together using analogue connections all the way back to my turntable. I'm digging out my old vinyls and I'm finding it hard to believe how good they sound with this set up. Well worth the money. When the speakers arrived it was obvious that the primary carton had been opened and resealed. Everything inside looked new especially as the wiring had obviously never been used. However I couldn't find a manual. I contacted Roxel through their website and they sent me a pdf manual by return. It's good to know that they are on the ball if things aren't right.

Bought to replace a 5 year set of iBox speakers used on my TV. Excellent sound. Bass is very punchy and I can feel it through my chair. Mids and highs are very good with no loss or muddling due to the bass as so often happens. Dropped a star off for 2 reasons. Firstly there is no mute button on the remote control. This is a bit annoying when you have to lower the volume instead. Second downside is the build quality. Casing is hardened plastic and not wood so they have a less premium feel. My iBox ones are solid wood and feel much better quality. More weight and a sturdier build helps with better sound. Aside from those points I'm very happy with them. Bluetooth is faultless. No break up. Remote is nice with a small LCD to show inputs, volume etc. Has a limited EQ of Music, Movie and Voice. All controllable from the remote. Only addition I made to them was to change the pads underneath. The pads on them were quite thin I found the was causing bass feedback from the cabinet they are on. I replaced them with thicker rubber isolation feet and this instantly resolved the issue. Saves transferring bass through the cabinet and floor and annoying my neighbour downstairs. A very good purchase.

These active speakers are great value for money. But worth knowing that it has 50W per channel rather than the 100W stated. They provide digital (optical, HDMI, and coaxial) and analogue (RCA Line level) inputs. There is some built in EQ presets and a bass/treble control. The build quality is good, they look great and most importantly, sound great.

These are OK for what they are. But mine seem to not want to turn back on after going into standby mode. Only way to get them back on for me is to disconnect power supply. Probably end up giving them to my son and buying a better pair. Also really poor Bluetooth connectivity. Won't pair up with my Samsung phone and daughters but will pair up with my partners so hit and miss on that side. Sound quality is reasonable nothing spectacular. Just low score due to the problems and faffing about

Perfect price, Stylish looks, and very surprising sound, I set these up hard wired to my pc and music movies and games sounded exactly as I expect. I’ve been into DJing a long time and know how speakers should sound and for 100 quid this is a no brainer purchase. I wanted a pair to compliment a retro pc build theme I was making and they look awesome Highly recommended and sound much more expensive than they cost. Well made and the remote is very responsive to. UPDATE - Bought in april remote control no longer works.

so fair so good, these turned up and from the moment I opened the box I felt I'd made a good purchase. very well packaged both speakers wrapped very nicely. once taken out very easy to connect together and user manual very easy to follow if you are not sure of anything. all cables and control were in a separate box so easy to find, once powered up the speakers connected to the remote within a second very very fast. the feature of the speaker power button and control are great each input, aux, HDMI, etc. has a different colour on the power button, as well as appearing on the small LED screen on the control in text. the sound from them is very nice clean audio, having the bass and treble adjustment are great so you can adjust the sound to your taste. there is also an EQ button on the control to change from music, movie, sport etc. the overall look of the speakers is very nice I've gone with the all black and the look very smart and the brass/copper on the speaker plate and button tops are great accent pieces

Not a bad speaker for the price. I had the same issue as a lot of people in that Bluetooth to TV lags by a split second and it makes the program unwatchable but if you connect BT HDMI earc as I did it's perfect with far superior sound than the TV itself. Streaming on the other hand is a doddle and sounds good.
