A Game-Changer for Sensitive Scalps and Natural Color Restoration
I've been using Hairprint True Color Restorer Dark for years, and it has been a game-changer for me. I have fine, low-porosity hair with a lot of grays in the front and more pepper than salt throughout. This product restores my natural color beautifully without causing any irritation—something I truly appreciate since I have a ton of allergies. The application process was a bit complicated at first, but once I got the hang of it, it became much easier. For me, the results are more like a demi-permanent color, which I actually prefer. It blends seamlessly as it grows out, avoiding the harsh root line that comes with traditional dyes.Overall, Hairprint delivers exactly what I need—natural-looking coverage without the risks of conventional hair dye. I'm a customer for life!

Not for everyone but great product
As a user for the last two years, I recommend this product for anyone who is willing to take the extra time for a better product that doesn't give the same fake look as traditionally dyed hair. My experience is a more natural-looking color that you can adjust by either leaving it in longer or applying an additional time.Tip - use the gloves to massage Hairprint into your hair instead of trying to use the brush. It goes on much faster and you will be able to more evenly apply. Also, if you have a hand-held shower attachment it is much easier to wash out without a mess.

Love Hairprint works perfectly!
I’ve been using Hairprint for three years after I had to stop using traditional dye due to allergic reactions. It is literally a miracle product as I can’t use anything else.I had a free consultation with their stylist before I began and watched the tutorials on their website. These are crucial for making sure you get the best results. With time and each application it gets easier and more efficient.Love this product and can’t say enough good things about it!

Looked nice, but takes forever, fades after 2 months, and damaged hair
This was the first hair dye I've ever used -- bought to cover gray hair (~5% gray, 95% black/dark brown). I watched several videos and followed the instructions.Pros:- worked to nicely cover the grays- color looked natural- I liked the idea it was "non-toxic" (but not sure exactly what that means)Cons:- my hair felt damaged afterwards (I don't know what step caused this)- some hair loss when showering afterwards- takes a LONG time to apply (2-3 hours)- very messy to apply (significant clean-up)- color lasted ~2.5 months and then faded, so grays were showing through- pricey (but I would be okay with the price if I felt like it wasn't damaging hair)After 3 months, I tried L'Oreal Paris Excellence Creme Permanent Hair Color, 4 Dark Brown (based on Amazon reviews) -- which I preferred because it was cheaper, faster (40min vs 2-3 hrs), better gray coverage, and the hair felt less damaged afterwards. The hair looks more brown (less black) than the hairprint, but it looks natural and nice (not sure how long the color will last since I only tried it a few days ago).

Stubborn grays not good
Has not worked for stubborn gray hairs. I have tried it several times

Way too drying and complicated
I really liked the product the 1st times I used it but as time went on I started to really dislike it. It was super drying and made my hair fall out as I kept using the system. The time spent was absolutely horrible. All the mess, the washes, etc…. Dirty towels, tub, sink, etc…. I have dark hair and purchased the extra color system and it took half a day to deal with the mess and color. Not including the getting the hair ready the week before. On top of that, for some reason it does not cover the grays around the face well so you can always see grays on those areas. Yes, it is natural but not worth the time and effort. Plus, it is horrible for the hair strands. In addition, every single product I have tried besides the system sucked. The worst was the jasmine silk hair mask. There is not way to get that waxy stuff off your hair. Absolutely awful…… The hair growth shampoo and conditioner were pretty bad too. These last ones were beyond not wanting to buy again. I did not even want to finish these products.

Works well, but is a long process
I have been using Hairprint for 10 years on my medium brown hair. I have Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, so I could no longer tolerate traditional hair dye (was using Aveda). I have very thick hair, with very stubborn greys, so I have to use the Plus kit. It works fairly well at covering the grey, but not in the same way traditional dye does. New grey (at roots) takes on some color but still has a little silver to it. As it goes out, and you do more applications, it really takes the color and is no longer silvery. What I found to be key for best results was to do a thorough job of prepping hair with the clarifying shampoo as well as adding a lot of baking soda to the prepare stage. I also use a shower cap during application, as the warmth helps the hair open up.The cons of Hairprint are how messy application is and how long it takes to apply. I will only apply it in my kitchen sink and I cut up trash bags and tape them to the walls (learned this after dye stained my painted wall). Since I do the Plus kit and also leave each step on for 45 min-1 hour, the entire process takes me about 4-5 hours. I wish that they could shorten the process. Also, it does make your hair look a lot darker for a week or two before it "settles". I started putting Shea butter or coconut oil on all of my hair, except the roots, and that helped immensely. For me, Hairprint has made my hair feel very healthy and shiny and the color looks very natural. I still have natural highlights while using it. My hair is in way better shape than when I used Aveda.

It is healthy
I used this product for a year. At first I thought was too good to be true. However, I have curly and dry hair and Hairprint made it a lot worst. My hair is damaged beyond repair. It does give your natural color back, but it 3 weeks you'll see a brassy shade that I never had. There's 3 people in my household who used this product and we all get this brassy color. Other than that it's very healthy.
