PAINTED THIS FOR A GRADUATION PARTY DECORATION

It was easy to assemble. I think it only had two parts, and It was packaged properly. It's not heavy, made of plastic, seems like you could easily fit it on any table or desk with no problems. I purchased the globe as a gift for my daughter who is currently in college. We have both used the globe numerous times since Christmas. It's eye catching but not in the way that you would use for decor only. This is more of a hands on globe to be used as it's function, a globe. We love the coloring and raised mountainous areas. The lettering is average or small. So if you have very poor eye sight you might not want this globe. That's the only negative description I have for it. If you're looking for a globe to use as a reference for geographical or other reasons it's perfect. It has a lot of information on it. Great for any age I would say. I highly recommend it.

We are thrilled to have a family globe and our kids love exploring this globe. Nice USA company for globes and we do not find the errors that seem so prevalent on a lot of the cheap foreign made globes these days. I love the detail and the accuracy for our home school applications in geography. The only downside, and it's unfortunately enough to dock this one star in my opinion, is that my husband and I both did not like the bump in the middle of the globe where the northern and southern hemispheres are put together in assembly. Assembly is easy, but having this big cream-colored plastic bump not only decreases the aesthitic attractiveness of the globe, it is strange to me to have it sticking out so much--it's not that much, probably only a couple millimeters, but we don't like that-- it seems it could have been manufactured in a way that the two hemispheres could be put together without so much of the plastic joining piece showing outside the globe.

This globe is beautiful, I will spend days studying it closely. I love the topographical raised mountain ranges. I love the time zone dial, and the 23.5° tilt, and the realistic size of Greenland, and the label Gulf of MEXICO. It was carefully packed and arrived in pristine condition. Now leave me be, I'm studying geography.

A fine globe for general use. Excellent overall appearance, good for general reference. The country boundaries are a bit hard to see, deliberately, since it uses a limited color palette for effect rather than multiple bright colors like a teaching model. Well-constructed; there is one area where the lines of longitude don't align perfectly, but it's in the middle of the pacific and doesn't affect overall appearance and utility. Well-made with metal stand and holder. A nice desktop model for display and reference. And an outstanding price.

I am very pleased with the globe--have wanted one for years. The size is perfect, the color is right, I like the raised areas for mountains--and above all I am so happy that the international waters just south of the US southern border are properly entitled "Gulf of Mexico".

Love it! It is a little light in weight but other than that it is great! Bought it for my husband and he is very happy with it. Looks great in his library. I would suggest purchasing a magnifying glass with it as I did - there is so much detail that some can be difficult to read.

I use it for reference when looking for a specific s'Pacific location/plaice

It was meant to be a Christmas gift but the item got stolen... Amazon refunded me and I purchased another one... it arrived super fast and was a brilliant New Year gift. The color is super elegant the I love how detailed and accurate it is. There are minor issues with some lines not 100% aligned, but overall it totally met my expectations for this purchase.
