Beautiful Product That Is Versatile And Sells At A Good Price
I had read on a doctor's blog that using a metal spoon to eat honey kills the enzymes in the honey, so I searched for a smaller wooden spoon to scoop honey with. I came across this spoon and bought it. The spoons come in a 6 pack and are individually wrapped. The workmanship is perfect and no two spoons are exactly alike. They are a beautiful red wood with an oil shine that does not wash off, and they look great on my counter top. I now use them not only for scooping out honey, but for spooning out food out of cans, stirring food on the stove, and then, since they are small, for eating as well. They are versatile and wash well. I liked them so much I ordered another 6 pack, and my family now uses them too . Also, I bought a wooden utensil holder with a bit of red wood in it to match the spoon color. I enjoy this new addition to my kitchen and I highly recommend them!

I love these wooden spoons
This is the second time I buy these little spoons. Besides being vey cute, they are very useful in the kitchen. I use them for cooking because they are light and have a long handle so they prevent you for getting burn. I gave some to my chidren and friends, which is why I ordered them a second time.

Quality, right size -- very happy!
I'm so very happy with these! Needed spoons long enough to reach the bottom of a quart jar, and not only do they do the job, they're really nice to look at and feel. Very high quality for such an inexpensive item! I use them for serving spoons often, too. They're about soup spoon size, so it works well. I find myself reaching for them every single day for something!

A Bit Large, But So Handy in Other Respects
Historically, I have had two problems with metal spoons. First, no matter what teemperature your food is, metal spoons tend to become much hotter than the actual food--they necessarily absorb and/or conduct heat and cold. Second, my idea of a delightful mal is fettuccine four-fromages, or macaroni and cheese and cheese and cheese and more cheese, or spaghetti-smoked-gouda-plus-seven-more-sensational-cheeses. Mozzarella tends to melt onto metal spoons, thus entering the sink rather than the stomach. What's the fun in that!? I needed another solution, and these spoons work well. Dishes that incorporate extensive cheesery do slide off the spoons without clinging for the most part rather than melting steadfastly onto the surface--yes, I'm one of those spoons-for-EVERYTHING people you read about, and think pasta comes across as a comfort food rather than a formal cuisine more effectively when scooped than when forked! Anyway, my cheese problem has been mostly eliminated. Also, I'm no longer burning my mouth on metal just because I prefer the temperature of the food itself to be piping hot. The wood, by its very nature, isn't conducting quite so much heat. Very nice, I say! My only qualm with these spoons is that they're a bit big--not large or deep enough for thin soups, but a bit too wide for a narrow mouth. They're somewhere between the large table-sized spoons you see in silverware sets and the smaller tea-stirring counterparts. Personally, I always use the smallest ones in the set, so these are a bit overwhelming for me, size-wise. Other than that, they are light-weight, don't feature that unpleasant metallic taste, make cheese-infused dishes more enjoyable, and don't burn or freeze the tongue. Highly recommended!

Good Big Spoon Size, Comfortable
Good solid big wooden spoon. Not Ladle size but perfect for eating and cooking/stirring without burning fingers. It's a bit glossy at first but wears down quickly with some use. It's not as strong as metal spoons of course, it's 2 grams lighter but none of that really matters. What matters is that it's so nice to use. No clanky metal scraping sounds and it feels nice. It's plenty strong for normal use and cooking. Stirring stuff around etc but you wouldn't be able to pry things or rocks open with it. It bends a little bit if you force it, but not much (and it goes back to its original shape of course since it's wood, unless it snaps...).It's very nice to prepare simple food such as stews with it and then use it for eating. I like it much better than my Titanium Long Handle Spoons/Sporks. It's not as EFFECTIVE as those and not as STRONG, but it just feels much nicer to use. It's a LITTLE bit lighter, like 1-2 grams but that shouldn't be a deciding factor.I got 6 spoons in my box. Have been using the single one I opened for a few months now I think, pretty much every day. It's holding up nicely and is very easy to clean.I have not put the spoon in the dishwasher, but probably not much different than other wooden stuff. A simple rinsing with a sponge after use is all it needs honestly, as does most of what I use.It does not have any weird taste, smell or aftertaste that I have noticed -- not even in the beginning when it was a bit glossy.
