A new world of easy options
Just used it for the first time. Works well, heats pretty quickly, cleans up nicely, stows away easily (I have a skinny useless cabinet that is perfect to stash it). I'm still learning, but it was easy enough. Now I have to experiment with what breads are better than others, ingredients, etc. That has nothing to do with the machine, but just saying theres a lot of different creative options to try. I was told good bakery bread works better, and maybe it does, but I think I want to try cheap pre-sliced wheat with sparse ingredients and make a pressed flat crispy old-school "grandma's grilled cheese" style. It's gonna be fun to play around with it. Good unit, worth the price (IMO)

Reliable & Easy
I've had this thing for roughly 2 years now and it still works just as good. While it lacks any sort of temperature control, the grills on it are really quality & it's so easy to use it hardly matters. Turns any sandwich from subpar to almost restaurant quality within 5 minutes. It's easy to clean, I just wipe it down with an alcohol wipe once it's cooled down. It's a bit chunky, but fits fine in my cupboards with a designated spot. Good purchase. I'd recommend coating the bread on your sandwich with some butter though, it tends to over crisp the outside edges sometimes.

The best
The Hamilton Beach Panini Press is one of the best kitchen appliances I’ve bought! It makes sandwiches so quick and easy, and they come out perfectly toasted every time. The plates heat evenly, so the bread gets a nice crisp while the inside stays warm and melty. It’s also very easy to use and simple to clean, which makes it super convenient for everyday meals. The price is very reasonable for the quality, and I absolutely love how versatile it is—you can make paninis, grilled cheese, or even warm up wraps. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase!

Honest review of the bread toaster
I love this toaster! It toasts bread evenly and super fast. It’s so easy to use and clean, perfect for my daily breakfast. I love that I can adjust the browning level and it always comes out just the way I like it. Definitely practical, reliable, and a must-have in my kitchen

Cheap, simple panini press — good for quick sandwiches
I picked this up because I wanted a no-frills way to make toasted sandwiches and warm-ups at home. Pretty much plug it in, wait a minute or two, and you’re ready to grill. I’ve used it a handful of times for paninis, grilled cheese, etc. — it gets the job done. It doesn’t feel like a restaurant-grade grill by any means, and it’s fairly small — so you’re not making full-on dinners, but for two sandwiches or a quick snack it’s more than enough. Cleanup is easy: once it cools down, a quick wipe and you’re done. If you just want a simple device for quick sandwiches or snacks without spending much, this does the job and works fine.

competent panini press, but could be a better design (read the review for more)
Your wife says in an offhand remark "I think I want a panini press", and against your better judgment, you go searching for a panini press. You see the strata of products from the $19 products with unpronounceable names in low-tier $20 range to the mid-tier ~$50 range brands (like this one), on up to the Cuisinart $120 level. You ask your beautiful and talented partner if you think we'll actually use a panini press and she indicates positively, so you dig through the lower-tier product and cast that idea aside. You also look at the upper-tier products and decide that $100-150 is just too much to spend on a bothersome kitchen electric you'll have to store year round, but only use...~4 times per year. You settle on a Hamilton Beach model, and it comes in 48 hours. In the box is...a panini press. That's it. You get the device. No cleaner. No instructions of any use (honestly, it's not hard to use...plug in and go), no recipes, no cleaning tool. I made a simple deli meat sandwich for starters, and it was just flawless. the press doesn't quite press down flat on the sandwich-though I think they tried-so you need to flip it a certain way to try to make the sandwich equally flat. Then I had some rib bones with meat on them for the dinner meal which was to be steak sandwiches. I tossed them on and in 7-10 minutes I had perfectly-cooked ribs to gnaw on while I cooked the steaks. Then dinner cam and that was similarly cooked to a very satisfying degree. If you're reading this review, you'll ask yourself...why is this only rated 3 stars if he loved it so much? Well reader, there are 2 design flaws that I want to call out, and then a packaging omission that I also need to call out. The press itself really is great. It's nonstick, it heats up in mere moments , it presses and cooks things well. But the bottom has no tray and the top just drips grease all over your counter then you open it up. That's terrible. Design flaw #2: there is no grease trap or a hole for grease to drip out. So while you're cooking delicious panino, the grease puddles and worse than that, cleaning the unit out after just involves sopping up puddles of grease. Packaging omission: some sort of tool to clean the plate. Even the foreman grill I had a hundred years ago has a grease trap, a drain hole and a cleaning tool. So for functionality and ease of use I give this sucker 5 whole stars, so does my family. But because of the minor but annoying issues with the design and the barebones product inclusions (or lack thereof), I officially give this 3 stars.

I wish there was an on/ff switch on this but there is not, once plugged in, it is on, unplug to turn off... seems a bit dangerous but that's how it's designed... That being said, I love this thing! There's no temperature control which makes it pretty darn easy to use, and it cleans up even melted cheese, so easily!!! My previous panini press was awful to clean so I rarely used it. This is a breeze to clean with a damp paper towel, and it locks closed to stand up for a smaller footprint in my pantry which I love as my pantry is crammed as it is. Recommend!!!!!!!

This panini press is simple to operate and makes sandwiches with a nice crisp exterior. It heats up quickly, fits a good range of bread sizes, and handles thicker sandwiches without trouble. Cleanup is easy, although the plates are not removable, so you need to wipe them down carefully once cool. It has held up well with regular use and feels sturdy for the price. I find that the plate falls too quickly once I put a wrap inside. Be careful not to burn your hands! Pros • Quick heating and even toasting • Easy to use • Sturdy build • Works with thick sandwiches Cons • Plates are not removable & closes to quickly • Cord could be longer Overall A dependable press that performs exactly as expected for everyday use.
