I recently came upon a few boxes I had put into storage several years back and it was easily visible which boxes were sealed with the cheap office supply store brand vs. Scotch Long Lasting Moving & Storage Packaging Tape. The generic / store brand tape was dried up, crumbling and in many cases brittle to the touch. The boxes opened up from the bottom when they were picked up spilling their contents which were now dusty and required cleaning. I was quite surprised when I realized the boxes that were sealed with LLM&S tape were movable without issue and the tape itself showed little to no discoloration, an easy indicator that the adhesive had not corroded away. Upon opening these boxes, everything was tidy just the way it was when it was packed away. I was already sold on the tape after having moved twice and breaking several plates when a box sealed by cheap tape opened up causing quite a stir at the residence I was just moving into. Quite loud and embarrassing! None of the boxes sealed with LLM&S tape had any issue. I also use LLM&S tape for shipping items I've sold online and have never had a problem. If the tape doesn't stick properly to cardboard that is fuzzy (due to a label being torn off), use your fingernails and draw crisscross lines to help the adhesive to stick first, then slide your palm against it for the final seal. The tape sticks firmly to various surfaces, ensuring that boxes and packages remain securely sealed. I appreciate the 3" core, which makes it easy to use with a tape dispenser for efficient packing. One of the standout features of this tape is its ability to stay sealed even in weather extremes. While the overall quality of the tape is commendable, I have noticed that occasionally, the end of the tape can be a bit tricky to find or can come out unevenly. This minor inconvenience aside, the performance and longevity of the Scotch Long Lasting Storage Packaging Tape make it a worthwhile investment.

This feels like legitimate Scotch packing tape that functions exactly like the Scotch packing tape that I've bought at Target. It sticks to boxes and does not peel up. And it doesn't split when I'm using it. When I use cheaper tapes, I notice that when I try to start the role, it's really difficult to lift the edge up without having little pieces rip off. This tape does NOT do that. It's pretty easy to start the role, and fits perfectly in the standard tape dispenser that I had from a previous role of Scotch packing tape. Functions great, and this is a good price for 6 rolls.

It's Scotch tape. It's sticky. It tapes things. Kept the boxes I packed for moving shut adequately. Can't really say more than that.
