I have always been a fan of the Truffle Hunter brand. So it was a no brainer when I ran out of black truffle oil that I immediately logged onto Amazon and searched to see what Truffle Hunter had to offer.I received the oil nicely packaged in a box. It was sealed pretty tight, therefore, I did not experience any oil leakage. I have already used the oil. Today, I decided to steam some vegetables and shrimp to eat over some basmati rice. I drizzled a little truffle oil over the mix and it was great. For those new to the use of truffle oil, do not be heavy handed with the oil. A little goes a long way.I have read some of the reviews where people were not satisfied with the taste. This oil is definitely an acquired taste. It is kind of Smokey in flavor and robust. I would say if you can tolerate sesame oil, you can handle this oil. I even venture to say it's a bit milder than sesame.My only complaint is I wish they would put more pieces of the Truffle in the oil. I have a small bottle from Wegman' s and that oil was packaged with several pieces of truffle. This is just a preference, and the lack thereof is not necessarily a deal breaker.

Despite some very negative reviews, I find this truffle oil to be delicious! And it is a great value, in addition. We first tried Truffle Hunters oils when we received a three-bottle set as a gift - White, English, and Black Truffle oils. We have enjoyed all of them and decided to purchase the larger bottle of the Black Truffle Oil once we ran out of the small bottles. It doesn't take much of these oils to enjoy the lovely, earthy aromas. We use them with truffle salt for specialty salads (Caprese for one). They taste authentic, and we did NOT find them to be chemical-tasting at all! It's a wonderful, special treat to have this, and the others, on hand. Enjoy!

OK. First of all, there is no such thing as real truffle oil. Truffles do not contain any extractable oil, nor can you flavor any other oils (olive or otherwise) by steeping bits of truffle in them. It's a well known fact in the food industry that truffle oils taste the way they do because of manmade chemicals. That being said, this is a great way to add truffle flavor to food. The only downside is that since it is so concentrated, it can be hard to distribute on "dryer" foods such as popcorn. I find that I need to melt some butter and add 2-3 drops of the oil to the butter before tossing with the popcorn, otherwise the oil alone isn't enough to coat everything evenly. But it is perfect for elevating a plate of scrambled eggs or mashed potatoes. For those who are complaining of a chemical flavor, you are using way too much! You really only need a few DROPS of the stuff to taste the truffle flavor, which means this bottle will probably last for months on end.

Tastes TERRIBLE!!! I know what truffle oil is supposed to taste like and this is not it. It has a mild truffle taste followed by a STRONG chemical taste. I can only assume it was the 'truffle flavor' e cause the only other ingredients were olive oil and truffles and neither one of them taste like that.It maybe that they just have bad quality control, and a few bad bottles get through. There are a lot of positive reviews about this product but there is NO way anyone could taste what I was sent and be like " man this stuff is great, I love the flavor. 10 out of 10!" Not possible.Update: after using a teaspoon of this to make truffle fries which prompted the above review, I was sick to my stomach foe the rest of the night. Very displeased.

I love this product, it has beautiful truffle flavor. I use it on salad, gyoza, salmon, chicken, potato, broccoli, any food is elevated by this. Third time ordering it and haven’t had any issues with the product so far. It’s a yes 🙌🏾
