There's been quite a bit of research showing multiple health benefits from having higher blood levels of ergothioneine. This brand, which i'm familiar with and like, offers it at a lower price than I'd seen previously, a win/win for me. AS it points out, Ergothioneine is thought to help prevent shortening of telomeres during cell division, thereby (hopefully) extending life.Seems like a no-brainer to be adding it to my regimen, since blood levels diminish as we age.

I haven't had it tested by a lab to know it's really ergothienene (Consumerlab hasn't always been friendly to DoubleWood) but if it it's a great deal. It doesn't say anything about the source or what it is extracted or synthesized from. It says plant-based but mushrooms (the greatest source of ergothienene) are not technically a plant they are fungi. Ergothienene has a half-life of 30 days in the body so it's not like 30mg needs to be taken every day.

I did my research and this replaces SSRI and duloxetine that doesn’t wash out very fast and can make you sleepy and two or three days which means you miss out a lot. This elevates your mood without the problem of being sleepy every day. Do research. And for the price, it’s a good product. It helps with pain anytime you can sleep. Your mood is better. Your pain is also more tolerable.
