Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Colorsoft Case, Lightweight and Foldable Protective Cover - Premium Leather

This cover is *almost* perfect. The texture and the feel are great. The fact that it gets patina from use, is a feature, not a bug. It adds just the right amount of thickness without making it bulky. It fits the Kindle like a glove and folds over for use great and protects the front amazingly well in my bag. I say almost perfect because I would have preferred some sort of stand feature, but I don't miss it. It is very minimalist by design and feels premium in hand. It looks great and I get asked questions about it from co-workers when they notice it on my desk. I still give it a 5 star rating because it made very well and does exactly what it is meant to do without bells and whistles. I just use a food out stand on my desk for a phone or tablet if I wand the hands free experience. It is a bit pricey, but I got one of the like new ones for less than half and I couldn't be happier about that. It was a customer return, but I honestly don't think they used it at all. I got it for my Colosoft Kindle and if you are investing that much in an e-reader, this is a small investment in its protection and overall esthetics. I tried a few other cases and NONE of them close to the feel and look of this one.

This case is the best way to make your Kindle YOURS. The reviewers complaining about scratches don’t understand the point. This leather case is wonderful. The deep red color is perfectly imperfect. I expect no two cases will be dyed exactly the same way. The surface is starting to wear slightly already, less than 24 hours after receiving. The way it wears will make your case appear even more unique. It smells amazing, like a cobbler’s shop. It’ll feel like your favorite book, an old friend. No cloth or fake leather case will ever come close to that. Have a Bob Ross mindset with this case. Scratches, scuffs, signs of wear, they’re happy accidents that make your Kindle yours. If none of these qualities appeal to you, get the cloth or plant-based fake leather cases. They both will stand up to water better.

Purchased this case from Amazon Resale and it was definitely in “like new” condition. It’s beautiful and has a nice leather smell. As others have said the leather is very thin and scratches a bit but I’m good with that as it is characteristic of this type of leather. Lightweight and feels really soft to hold. I especially like the Ruby color as it has the Ruby color plastic frame instead of the black contrast frame that is on the brown leather cover. Overall, I highly recommend this case but read the reviews and keep your expectations in line with people’s observations. At $65, I think it would be reasonable to expect a more premium product with thicker leather but, at the resale price I paid for “Used-like new” condition, I think it is fabulous!

Condition: I was initially disappointed in the condition that the item arrived. It was extremely scraped on the back with light scratching on the front. After using leather balm, brushing, and sunlight, the case is now presentable. Upon close inspection, the scratches are still visible up close. Details: The leather is extremely thin and scratches very easily. There is a fine feel in hand but slightly bulky on the left hand fold. The microfiber backing is rather comfortable. The case fits the Kindle Colorsoft perfectly and is comfortably lightweight while remaining simplistic. Conclusion: The case is certainly worth the “Used - Acceptable” price of ~$25 after some restorative care. However, the condition that Amazon Warehouse sold the item in (heavily cosmetically damaged) without describing such is disappointing. The item would not be worth the full price of $65 by any means but for less than half the price is a very good bargain.

I bought the combo of the paperwhite with the genuine leather case and the charging dock. This model is the latest and best of the paperwhite series, and includes automatic circadian adjustments to the brightness and color temperature of the screen. The leather case is genuine and looks and feels good. The charging dock is made by Anker and works perfectly, and can double as a stand to hold the Kindle while reading.

I go nowhere without my kindle and this color-soft case has been a great cover for the device. The faux leather appearance perfectly matches the leather vests it tends to be pocketed within. The only detraction for this case is the surface is so soft that it scratches and mars very easily. This isn't much of a concern to me though as I think it will result in a nifty patina as it ages.

Product works as described and has lasted at least a year now. My only complaint is the leather gets marked up rather easily but it gives it an authentic and rustic look. Most importantly it keeps my paper white screen scratch free. Just slightly expensive for what you get.

Cet étui en coloris rouge rubis est tout simplement magnifique. Il apporte une vraie touche de caractère à la Kindle, tout en restant élégant et discret. La qualité du cuir est excellente, avec une odeur très agréable qui renforce ce côté premium. Dès qu’on prend la liseuse en main, on sent que l’objet devient spécial. Attention, c’est du cuir, donc oui ça marque facilement et la couleur va patiner avec le temps, mais c’est justement ce qui fait tout le charme de cette matière. Un détail important : le rabat se fixe magnétiquement aussi à l’arrière lorsqu’il est replié, ce qui le maintient parfaitement en place pendant la lecture, un vrai plus pour le confort d’utilisation. Et bonne surprise, la fonction ‘double tap’ à l’arrière pour tourner les pages reste fonctionnel, même avec l’étui replié (mais c’est commun à tous les étuis à priori). Je ne regrette absolument pas cet achat. Alors oui, le prix est élevé (trop même), mais si vous pouvez vous le permettre, vous ne serez pas déçu.

This is a beautiful cover for the kindle 12th generation. I love that it is not slippery like many others. It fits perfectly.
