I was a bit skeptical at first, but the kit actually works pretty well. It comes with a good variety of wax colors, so I was able to mix a shade that matched my floor almost perfectly. The heat pen was easy to use, just give it a few seconds to warm up, it melts the wax smoothly into cracks and holes. I used it on both a some damage on vinyl floor and a scratched-up cabinet, both look better now. It’s not a professional fix, but for DIY touch-ups, it’s hood enough.

What a lifesaver! This kit has a nice variety of waxes & colored markers to repair damage to vinyl floors. We have different vinyl floors in rental units and we are now able repair small cosmetic scratches and dents easily ourselves. There wasn’t a wax that matched our floor perfectly so I colored the white scrape with a colored marker first, used the clear wax, smoothed it out and colored with a couple different markers to get a good match. Poof fixed! So easy! Kit has everything you need even the batteries!

I really don’t know what to say, I was expecting a professional repair to a three corner tear in some vinyl flooring but I was a little disappointed. It did work fairly well but the tear, while fairly secure, is still very visible. Probably as good as is possible for such a repair.

The wax takes a while to melt. The instrument is flimsy and got extremely hot after about 45 minutes of use. The batteries were too hot to hold when I took them from the instrument. After following directions and waiting to scrape the wax, all that happened was the wax popped out of the hole or crumbled. Perhaps this unit should only be used for large holes more than 3 mm in depth. It did not work for superficial scratches. The markers that came with the set are great. The colors are deep and sink into the wood well. Overall, I would not use this set around children or leave the batteries in the unit. The markers would definitely stain anything they came in contact with if children were to get ahold of them. Given another chance, I would only buy the markers and not the set.

My vinyl flooring had several marks due to the heaviness of our refrigerator. The fridge got dragged when replacing it, fortunately the Mars to the surface are hidden by the fridge… But the knowledge the vinyl injury was there annoyed me. So, I bought this kit and NGL. It looks great! I felt like moving the fridge so everybody that came into the house would be able to see just what a good match it was. It's a load off my OCD mind.

This has helped with scuffs in my vinyl floor. There are enough colors to choose from.

On off switch on iron won't turn off. I had to remove the batteries in order to turn it off. A huge hassle.
