Looks more in keeping with our cottage than white metal baby gate types & convenient that it retracts back out of the way when not in use. However, when fixed in place there is nothing on the bottom corner on the opening side that prevents the corner being either pushed through or pulled with a paw so the dog can escape easily &/or risking the gate being broken. Needs some kind of second catch there.
