Small enough for key ring
Worked perfect for my Genie Pro Max. Like the fact it's small enough to put on your key ring. This is smaller than some key fobs. Range is good, very convenient...love it!

Works Perfectly with Overhead Door Garage Opener!
I did some googling before buying this remote. It became clear this product and several other Genie remote models would work with my garage door opener (motor) made by Overhead Door. Still I was not 100% sure it would be compatible. That opener unit was installed when the house was built new in 2012.Delivery was quick and product was packaged inside its original box which was in perfect new condition. Here's the sweetest part that impressed me the most -- I went over to my garage door motor, pulled out the plastic battery protector from the remote, pressed the only open/close button couple of times and noticed the red light activated. This confirmed the remote was active. Then I read the instructions on how to pair the remote to the garage opener unit. It was rather simple.Basically I had to press a button on the garage opener unit (I forget what it was labeled) and it started to blink red. Then I pressed the remote button once. It paired immediately and allowed my garage door to fully open. Once the door was fully up/open, I pressed the remote once more to close the garage door. That was successful too. And that was basically it. The remote was successfully paired.I opened & closed the garage door couple of more times to ensure it worked as it should. And it did. This whole process took less than 30 seconds. Because I timed myself. No fuss. No stress. Very clear and very quick! I wish so many other products would simply work this flawlessly from the beginning!I couldn't be happier with the purchase of this product. How long it holds up till it falls apart is the next question and I couldn't give you an answer since I've only had this product from early part of this year and it's been used regularly. For those people who may be wondering if this remote will work with Overhead Door I can say it is working with mine. And I had a confirmation from a sales person with the local Overhead Door company that several Genie remotes will work. Just do some research to confirm if you are in the same situation.

Super Excellent ! ! ! Smaller than the average key fob !
I bought the Genie pair of remotes for my mother-in-law’s garage door opener. The old remotes still work fine & the opener is over 20 years old.Back Story:She is 89 years old and lives 2 blocks from us, and lives alone. She covets her independence dearly. She was forced to give up driving 4 years ago, she no longer had the driving skills. That really hurt her. I had to be the one to tell her -her daughters did not have the heart. She has memory issues so we bring her medication on a daily basis because she would mix them up. Her house is immaculate so we enter thru the garage & take off our shoes. So no snow, rain or leaves get dragged in.Anyhow the remotes are small enough to fit on a key ring, smaller than a car key fob.The old remotes have a range of about 60 feet. These new ones have a range of 2 blocks or about 300 feet roughly. I am not kidding! I can open her garage door from my patio! 2 blocks away. But you must have line-of-sight & must hold button down until door opens. At close range -you can accidentally activate it just from reaching into your pocket to pull it out. Button only requires very light pressure.Well worth the money ! Well built !Small ! 1/3 the size of the old remotes.Very convenient !Do Not Buy the China made Cheapies !Even if you are a cheapskate.Save your self time & money ! ! !

Great small opener
Worked great. Just hit learn button on mechanical opener and then start pushing button until garage door moves. All done. Love the small size thus hardly notice on visor.

Better than original. Easy to program.
One of the original Genie remotes that we received when we bought our house quit working. Tried new battery but still didn't work. When I tried to find a replacement I learned that our remote model was discontinued. There were a few available at random online stores and auctions but expensive. After some research I learned that this model was the replacement and would work with our garage door opener. I decided to buy two since I never had one to keep in my car before. The instruction paper that came with them was pretty useless to me. It gave the general idea of how to program but not specifics about any certain model of opener. I found a video online that explained the procedure pretty simply. The hardest part was just locating the learn code button on my opener. Once I found that it was simple. Push the learn code button once and it flashes. Press remote button once to recognize it. Learn code button goes solid. Press remote button once more to program. Learn button goes off. Done. I was worried about the distance these would work. I tested them from the far end of my driveway which is about 50 feet. Both worked great with one press of button. I also like the feel of the button on these better than my originals. They were the soft-button kind and sometimes it was hard to tell if the button was actually pressed or the rubber was just mashed down. These are hard plastic and very easy to press. They are smaller and lighter as well. Love the permanent clip on the back to clip to visor with. The older model had a shell that the remote clipped into and it was constantly falling out of the shell. The shell had the clip on it so the shell would stay on the visor but the remote would fall out. We ended up super gluing ours into the shell to stop them from falling out. No more of that now. Stays perfectly in place on the visor. Very pleased with this purchase.
